ReplyDeleteI went to game Saturday night and saw a talented, flawed young team play some great baseball and beat the Yankees soundly. And I had a lot of fun. But I suppose sitting in a basement complaining about how much everything sucks could be fun too, though.
ReplyDeleteDamn, I went on Sunday when our number one overall draft pick and opening day starter with "great stuff" got assreamed again... I guess these things are all about perspective.

ReplyDeleteYeah, it actually was. It wasn't a cheap night and I'm not rich, but we'd have spent the same amount for a nice dinner out. Nice night outdoors, great game. Watching Frenchy cut down Granderson at third was worth a couple of beers worth of money at least.
ReplyDeleteBelieve me, I'm as frustrated as anybody that the Royals have sucked as hard as they have for so long. I was 24 when they won the Series. I've raised two sons who've known nothing but losing teams. But an occasional night at the park is a great time. This is a team with a lot of talent and a lot of potential. And if you do it right it doesn't even have to be that expensive. I'd still rather go catch a game and enjoy myself than stay home bitching and moaning about how bad the team is. I don't see any joy in that. Just my opinion.
I'm just still pissed off about Frank White being dissed...
