Check the latest long form advert for The Metro that makes me glad that (like most people) public transit is only a last resort or something that I lie about using in order to make broads think that I care about the planet.
Kansas City Is Talking About The Metro - We're All On This Ride Together
Even more fun . . .
CHECK OUT THE ENDORSEMENTS FROM A FEW POWER PLAYERS WHO PROBABLY HAVEN'T SEEN THE INSIDE OF A KANSAS CITY ATA BUS IN YEARS!!!
Kansas City Mayor Sly James
Kansas City Urban League Director Gwen Grant
Convention and Visitors Association President & CEO Rick Hughes
Downtown Council President & CEO Bill Dietrich
I don't buy the idea that any of these folks regularly use the bus to do their work.
Still, the commercial is nice and promotes the illusion (Unique Selling Proposition?) that "We're All On This Ride Together" which is a nice thought and I guess a bit more friendly than the railroading this town is soon to endure in service of The Downtown Toy Train.
Sly needs to avoid references that invoke mental images from a ZZ Top song and find a different metaphor for Kansas City's assets.
ReplyDeleteGwen Grant in a spot touting egalitarianism? Hmmmmmmm........
ReplyDeleteWhy are they running ads at a loud volume on city buses?
ReplyDeleteI was thinking I should ride a bus, but after seeing this pile of assholes in a shitty video. Nah, I'll walk.
