And yet - nobody blames Obama's EPA. Look, I pay an electricity bill too, but the difference is, I understand why KCPL's costs are so much higher. Libs don't understand that when you regulate, you increase the cost. Maybe the libs think that the rich should pay their electric bill too.

  2. It has nothing to do with regulating costs. Its the fact they they refuse to pay their tacos and raise rates so we can pay them.

  6. Cheap energy and cost regulation aren't the issues here. This company is refusing to pay their taxes and instead charging their customers for it. Call me crazy, but I don't feel like I should have to pay anybody else's taxes but my own—and certainly not those of a company that's already making hundreds of millions of dollars a year.

P.S.: Not only is KCP&L not paying their taxes—they're still receiving tax refunds from the federal government. Meanwhile, schools in Missouri are closing because they lack funding to operate at even the most basic levels. You tell me how that's fair.

  8. If I was on the commission, I would approve the rate hike with the understanding that KCPL cannot raise rates for a full 10 years.
