Former Kansas City Council Candidate MD Alam made a great deal of news over the weekend with a successful rally and signature drive for The Tony Singh Bill. In short, the bill seeks to honor the memory of Singh who was killed while working in South Kansas City Convenience store. There are also possible and proposed new regs in the bill that would mandate greater security for clerks.

Like it or not, that's an impressive feat for MD Alam and maybe a sign that this aspiring Missouri politico deserves a bit more attention.
