TKC EXCLUSIVE AND BREAKING NEWS!!! KANSAS CITY DEAD TREE MEDIA DANCE OFF!!! THE PITCH PLANS A PARTY TO COMPETE WITH INK!!!

One of the most KICK-ASS TKC TIPSTERS provides this Dead Tree Media info . . .

Recently, The Pitch posted on Facebook that they are proud to be the official sponsor for a new two-day music festival being held June 2-3 at Richard Berkley Riverfront Park.

They're calling it:

DANCEFESTOPIA!!!

The youtube clip promo has been out for a while and they're promising to make a new one.

Now, here's where it gets interesting . . .

That also happens to be the same weekend as the Pride festival, sponsored by INK.

As Dead Tree Media look for alternatives to advertising this should be an interesting dance-off . . . Whichever party has hotties even closely resembling Jordan Carver should be more successful . . . Still . . . In Kansas City, it's nice to see Kansas City Dead Tree media competing on the dance floor as well.

DEVELOPING . . .

  1. Pitch is still publishing?

  2. Funny how Ink has barely lost staff but Pitch and Star's local section have lost a lot of good reporters in the past two years.

  3. Ink pays better than new Pitch owners too. lol.

  4. Who's Ink? Look at the local newstands, Pitch is always gone and Ink is always there.

  5. What is this "news stand" of which you speak?

  6. Ink's demographic can't be bothered to pick up newsprint, unless their picture is in it (again).

The Pitch is still useful for everyone.

  7. sources tell me that bloggers spend more time starting rumors about the pitch & ink that all employees at both papers combined.

  8. man this is weak journalism. both papers are obviously sponsoring the events not planning/producing them but this blog implies the exact opposite.

  9. this event is not being held/produced by The Pitch although it looks as if they are a major sponsor. Great move on their part to be involved with what looks to be a major music festival that actually has big names hitting Kansas City.
