LAWRENCE, KANSAS PERFORMANCE ART CHICKEN SLAUGHTER STOPPED!!!

A Kansas performance artist has agreed to abide by city codes and forgo a chicken slaughter as part of her show.

"The Story of Chickens: A Revolution," by Amber Hansen sounds horrible but probably would have been even worse if there would have been chicken gizzards flying everywhere because of an amateur artist & butcher trying to make a point.

Anyhoo . . . The show now WILL NOT contain a chicken slaughter according to KMBC . . . The only thing they'll be killing is our concept of the theater. Or something.

  4. When I lived down on the farm and my grandpa made me do this it was just called dinner.

Little did I know I was making art.

I guess I should have saved some of those chicken heads.

Or at least the hatchet and tree stump.

  5. Bring those chickens to KCMO and Aim4Peace can get a grant to slaughter and fry those birds!
Lawrence is way too professional to get involved in this.

  6. Dear Amber Hansen:

Killing anything for fun (oh, excuse me ... "art") is essentially craven at it's core.

You are a piece of shit.

  7. Krykee doodle.

You can't tell me all them priggish Liberal-Progressive pseudointellectual snobs on the prairie can't put down their bongs and beer goggles long enough to stop being hypocrites and enjoy a good chicken dinner and a show.

  9. Meat is murder. Tasty, tasty murder.
They are still going to hold the potluck dinner. Except they have caved to the religious left and will also have a vegan chef there. Farmers should stop selling all meat to urban pussies. Let's just ship it other countries that appreciate meat. If the urban pussies want meat, let them eat their fucking vegans. The last thing we want is for you little sissies to actually see where your food comes from.
