TKC BREAKING NEWS!!! ANOTHER OCCUPY KC MIC CHECK HITS KKFI AIRWAVES TONIGHT!!!

Occupy KC is taking their show to local radio tonight. Take a look:

"Hello from Mic Check on KKFI 90.1FM. We're doing our second show tonight at 7pm. It's going to be our Occupy KC 101 show where we go over the beginning of the local Occupy movement, the events we've done so far and some of our future plans. Thank you for tuning into our first show. This one is going to have a beat to it. KKFI also has us scheduled to do a 3rd show on Thursday February 16, at 7pm."

The first program was pretty informative and entertaining . . . I'm hoping at some point they bring the drum circle.

DEVELOPING . . .

Comments

  1. Here's betting they have fewer listeners than they have folks camping out.

  2. The entire Occupy KC movement will be able to fit in the studio at one time.
Aren't they embarrassed by their irrelevance yet?

  3. The funniest line I've heard yet is after an occupier ordered meat lovers from Pizza Hut on his ipod...

America's the only place you can bitch about how bad you have it on one hand, and order a pizza on your phone with the other!

Seriously, too many nuts are anti corporate, anti government in the group when in fact the issue is a valid one -- get corporate money out of politics!

They'll be back come Spring, and you'll have your turn to fix it in November at the ballot box.

  4. At least nobody's bashing on KKFI. They are a true community asset and a good thing for Kansas City.

  5. A community asset for who? The less than 1.5% of the metro population who make an effort to listen? KKFI is a club of like minded preachers, all pontificating to the chior. To influence you have to reach more than the true believers, you have to open the programming up to those not as commited to the cause.

  7. @4:40pm
You mean reaching more than the true believers, like Darla Jaye or the other bozos on talk radio?
    What a hoot!
