    OK, I know not all KCMSD students are African-American, but I can't help but think of the many slaves who achieved success in the years immediately following their emancipation.

    Look at where government interference and welfare have taken us.

    1860 obstacles to learning:

    We are slaves and learning to read and write are against the law.

    2011 obstacles to learning:

    Supt. Covington moved to Michigan so I can't do my homework and I have to start fights in the hallway.
