BREAKING CASH NEWS FROM OCCUPY KC!!!

Occupy KC always keeps it interesting . . .

RECENTLY THERE WAS A REPORT OF SOME NICE WHITE LADY GETTING HER CREDIT CARDS STOLEN AT AN OCCUPY KC PROTEST AND MORE THAN 1,000 BUCKS LOOTED WITHIN HOURS!!!

Also . . .

THERE ARE OFTEN REPEATED COMPLAINTS AT THE OCCUPY KC CAMPSITE REGARDING AN EFFORT TO KEEP OUT BOOZE AND DRUGS!!! TODAY AT THE "GENERAL ASSEMBLY" THEY'RE GOING ADDRESS THE PROBLEM . . . AGAIN!!!

It happens all the time and even in the best parts of Kansas City . . . However, it's important to remember that all of the warm and fuzzy rhetoric at the Occupy KC camp site doesn't mean people should let down their guard.

ALSO . . .

CHECK THIS SLATE OF UPCOMING EVENTS FROM THE OCCUPY KC MEDIA GROUP WHO NOW SEEM TO BE DOING A BIT OF CONSUMER ADVOCACY!!!

They're touting Credit Unions over banks . . .

Nov 2, 2011

Occupy KC will host a Move Your Money Event on National Bank Transfer Day, Saturday, November 5th, from 1-4 pm, just outside Bank of America’s Westport location.

Representatives of credit unions will be available to explain the advantages of joining a credit union, and will assist members of the community in transferring their funds and accounts from the Big Banks to local credit unions.

Occupy KC will hold its General Assembly at that location afterward, to be followed by Soapbox speeches, with community members sharing their views.

Concurrently, OKC organizers will assist participants in writing their personal “I am the 99%” stories, which will be incorporated into a collective art display, constructed on site, and presented in the median area in front of Bank of America.

Information regarding speakers and musical acts to follow.

  3. Stolen purse is breaking news? Oh c'mon Tony.

I'm learning how you just grab any old thing and half ass report things.

THe purse wasn't stolen from the campsite. It disappeared at the ALis Plaza public event when its owner foolishly left it unattended on a ledge, to go play with some children on the grass.

  6. Why does the camp smell like hot dogs? I thought all of the people there were vegan or crack addicts and those folks don't eat meat.

  8. Really? A stolen credit card is big news? Does Louie Wright have you so scared you'll post anything to draw eyeballs to your site and your ads?

At least you took the balanced approach by posting something positive about bank transfer day.

And one more thing, if you had any doubts about being part of the 99%, when Louie gets through that doubt will be gone.

  9. When is Occupy KC going to do something more productive. There are plenty of food pantries and soup kitchens in KC. Why don't they volunteer and help the poor instead of just camp out?

  10. You first.

Take Tony with you. He needs to get out of the basement.

  11. He just makes this shit up. It's never come up at GA, so far as I can tell and I attend or watch streaming video on most of them. There wasn't even a GA Monday night because it was Halloween. Last night, it was short and sweet, I was there.

Ya'd think Tee was working for the big banks...but I dont' think they'd give him the time of day.

  12. It's So Obvious11/3/11, 11:55 AM

    Occupy = the Obama base.

Obama wants riots. Then we might have to call off the elections, like that Democratic governor suggested.
