TKC EXCLUSIVE AND BREAKING NEWS!!! KANSAS CITY SOLIDARITY WITH OCCUPY KC AND 99% SUPPORT @ CITY HALL!!!

A small Kansas City sign of support for The 99% @ City Hall is quite gully.

Conflicting reports about the status of the protest @ the park make me not want to believe anybody . . . KSHB: OccupyKC is not going anywhere . . . Given that it's a "leaderless" movement the group really doesn't have any responsibility . . . Even though even I appreciate a good drum circle from time to time.

Nevertheless . . . I thought this small sign was rather awesome.

And a bit of a contrast to rather stark Downtown surroundings.

I notice that a great many middle-class white people participating in the Occupy KC movement have an overriding impulse to take on a persecution complex . . . That's unfortunate because for the most part Kansas City seems rather receptive to THE OBVIOUS PROBLEM OF WEALTH DISPARITY in the US which is pretty much a cowtown fact of life.

  2. In this case, the sign reflects the percentage of employees in this edifice who are bonafide dipshits.

  3. 9:17 - And it's gone! Well done.

My favorite part of Occupy is their prime objection is the influence money has on politics...but yet they have allowed Unions to invite themselves to the party. Any creditibilty is gone.

  4. In KC, it's a camping trip and nothing more. They aren't serious.

It is interesting everyone has these prime objectives from a group which has issued no objectives yet.

People are venting now, some saying bat-shit crazy stuff. Most are rational and looking for a way to turn things around.

Maybe, just maybe it isn't 99% but rather 98%. The 2% representing those who have made everything to their benefit with the exclusion of all others and those who wish to become the 1%.

  8. Time to crack down. Kick them out of the park.

  9. 11:34, you're one of the 'sheeple'. Anal retentive, law n order freak of nature. You can't understand commitment to anything but order. A true left brainer.

  10. Tony, what's a persecution complex? Do you just this shit up as you go along? I think maybe you don't understand the movement and the people in it, so you're just confused at its unpredictability in your mind.

It's bigger than the handful of occupiers; others are at work all day. We are the 99 percent.

Don't forget Ilus Davis Park downtown rally and march, starts Sunday at 2pm. 11th & Oak. Be there or be square.

  11. When the police come, please don't fight them. They are trained in such things & you are not revolutionaries, you are the loyal opposition.

  12. Not to worry, this is a cordial group of good people. They won't fight with police. They aren't really as bad as some people say It's just nice to be in the company of people who are concerned.

  13. More of these "concerned" people need to show up at things like the meeting that addressed public safety and violent crime in the community.
Working to make a real difference takes lots of effort, hard work, and knowing enough about what you're talking about to be able to make serious recommendations.
Parading in the park? Not so much.

  14. 1:40 - They don't want to work...they just want money from those that do work.

  15. Some of the Occupy want JUSTICE, come 30 October and see, They say we are one? Well that is a question that will be answered, OR WE ONE? The movement is good, the people are good, WE WILL SEE IF WE ARE ONE!

  17. Nice sign. Is that Sly's office?

  18. The occupy movements idea of justice is taking what they themselves are unwilling to work for from those that are willing to do the work for.

I give you Obama's executive order regarding college debt. Yes I accrued the debt but it's not my fault. Why should I pay.

That's their idea of justice. Go look at Europe they are now where we will be if we don't watch out.

There are no free rides in life. Just hard work.

Good description of a loafer you gave, I guess you think that covers the whole movement. Let's see if it fits...the Vietnam Veteran Purple Heart winner that I met there, the injuried workers that worked for the government that worked in the Nuclear Weapons Industry 32 years, The Iraq War Soldier that has brain tumors and is putting ointment on his body everyday to have relief, there are more Vietrans that I met, that are there...these people fought for you country and the right for you to see them, and all Occupy people as you see them, also to say want you want to say about them...Semper Fi, call it like you see it...kind of narrow minded even. By the way, I even met people that were longterm employees, and their jobs moved to another country, if the means anything to you, Magoo!
