TKC BREAKING NEWS!!! OCCUPY KC CONDUCTING UNION WORKSHOPS!!!

Once again, allow AWESOME TKC TIPSTERS to shed some light where only local ignorance and silence exists . . .

TKC TIPSTERS ARE TELLING US THAT AN UPCOMING "DAY OF LEARNING" AT OCCUPY KC WILL FEATURE WORKSHOPS LED BY LOCAL UNION OFFICIALS!!!

This is a fact that organizers, participants and promoters aren't mentioning in their recent communications.

To wit . . . TKC is calling out the group regarding their associations . . .

IN MUCH THE SAME WAY THE TEA PARTY WAS TACITLY RACIST, THE OCCUPY KC MOVEMENT IS BEING USED LIKE PUPPETS FOR UNION INTERESTS!!!

And while Unions are great when they speak for themselves . . . Operating clandestinely and attempting to co-opt a movement that wasn't about union interests is kinda sleazy.

Let's explain why this is a contradiction to the so-called "principles" of the Occupy KC movement that has avoided any accountability by refusing to developing:

We've already documented Local 42 infiltrating Occupy KC - This is a group that basically RUNS KANSAS CITY POLITICS and has endorsed a slate of candidates that includes most of The City Council AND the Mayor. Local 42 is so powerful that their members and local firefighters are GETTING A SALARY INCREASE AHEAD OF OTHER CITY UNION MEMBERS WHO HAVE BEEN ENDURING A PAY FREEZE FOR YEARS!!!

So . . . While I'm not a friend of hedge fund managers, bankers or anybody really . . . It's easy to see . . .

OCCUPY KC IS LOSING CREDIBILITY AS A GENUINE PROTEST MOVEMENT BECAUSE OF THEIR LACK OF KNOWLEDGE REGARDING HOW KANSAS CITY POLITICS HAS BEEN CORRUPTED BY LOCAL 42 AND UNION INTERESTS!!!

Again, basically I'm a supporter of Occupy KC . . . But it's important for people who march with these folks to realize that RIGHT NOW they're doing so at the behest of Unions that already control local politics.

DEVELOPING . . .

  4. Yeah, he pretty much breaks into hives at even the smell of union organizers....but he definitely exaggerates when he writes this kind of stuff.

Don't believe it. This is as phony as those silicone boobs.

  6. Our politicians are bought. Everyone knows it. Conservatives know it just as much as liberals do. And libertarians have probably known it all along. The Democrats are bought and the Republicans even more so. They don't represent us. They represent their donors. We have taxation without representation. Our democracy is in serious trouble.

    Thats the bottom line

    03:12 Agreed, friend.
Our politicians can't and won't save us because that is the system that's led us down this path.
    That is the unvarnished truth.

  8. If you look past the trigger words and read what Tony is actually saying, he has a good point. It is just as important that we not be co-opted by unions as it is that we are not co-opted by Move On, or a political party, or anyone else that would narrow the focus of the movement to the interests of any particular group.

  9. This is one of the first things I noticed about OccupyKC...the openness to those things that we have been warned about that would divide us. I thought it seemed odd and even mentioned this at the beginning of our local movement but all attempts I have made to address this concern have been ignored from DAY 1. Some Occupy cities openly state they do not allowing Union promotion just as they don't promote any political party. Not so much here in KC! I think OccupyKC got sidetracked with the 1st Amendment rights.

  11. So the Union is talking, Oct 30th I will be talking...Yea, and the Union needs to be talked to, 19 years I spent in a UNION that is worthless, bought and sold by the company and government, AFRAID TO SUPPORT their paying members, THE IAM is good for NOTHING, letting their members suffer and die...Yea, I said it...October 30th Occupy will have equal time when talking about Union support, Huh, WHY!

  12. 5:12, totally incoherent. Is there a point somewhere that? I didn't see one.

  13. I believe the middle class, some of who are union workers, are upset about lack of jobs. Unions stand for unity. Just because one union is so corrupt does not mean you should classify all unions as corrupt. Perhaps if there was more union strength in the US, we would not have NAFTA, would not have sent all the jobs overseas, would not have so many people unemployed because of it. Perhaps if unions were stronger and had more presence in Washington DC instead of corporations, we would not have bailed the banks out and our workers, the 99% would be working and not protesting.

  14. The Occupy folks seem to be mostly little rich kids who want to usher in a communist dictatorship.

Why aren't they protesting Jeffrey Immelt, Obama's jobs guy, who is moving all the GE jobs to China?

  15. Fucking hippies need a good dose of teargas, light-stick and big ass-bitin' po-leese dog.

  17. Is Occupy KC the illegals who are oppupying the area around the CAN center or the two cops who sit around and Occupy the CAN center? The two Occupy types have been going on for years. Glad I don't have to pay their salary. Oops. Guess I do. What a waste. Well, at least the community loves them (as long as they don't enforce immigration laws.)Why all the pub now??
