TKC BREAKING NEWS!!! GET READY FOR MORE GUNS ON KANSAS CITY'S EASTSIDE!!!

One of the MOST AWESOME AND KICK-ASS TKC TIPSTERS shows us a sign of the times on the Eastside.

"New store going in the old Hollywood video store at 63 and Troost.

Not sure MORE guns and ammo are the answer for the landing shopping center. Although electronics are also sold at this store. Store is called Smart...something. Sign wasn't quite finished when I drove by."

New biz is nice in the old and busted mall but I'm not going to provide any free promo for a place that contributes to the quotient of violence in Kansas City. I guess it could be worse, it could be yet another liquor store . . . Or a Hot Topic. Yeah, Hot Topic is the only thing I could think of that's worse.

As always . . . Count on THE MOST AWESOME TKC TIPSTERS to provide a glimpse of the latest breaking trends on the street.

  1. problem with the right to bear arms?

  2. As long as the National Rifle Association refuses to back reasonable gun laws, they will remain a terrorist organization. The Second Amendment refers to state militias (The National Guard).

Most people don't have a problem with hunting rifles, but no one NEEDS a hand gun or an AK-47.

    ReplyDelete
  3. The only way TKC's opinion is valid is if you assume that the people that live in the area are inferior.

    ReplyDelete
  4. There are a lot of rights that no one "needs" but our freedom allows. The day someone gets to subjectively decide what someone else needs is the day our Republic dies.

BTW - I target practice with a handgun. It's fun. I am a law abidding citizen. Please tell me what is wrong with that.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Good.
Need more guns, the local Police can not protect you.
The Homicide trend in Kansas City is proof enough, so it is up to the individual to protect themselves.

    ReplyDelete
  6. I, too enjoy target shooting with a handgun. Also an AR-15. I don't "need" them, but it is my right to have them and I choose to exercise that right!

Also, anyone breaking into my house will most likely leave in a body bag.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Sometimes, forward thinking doesn't trump constitutional rights, but should be considered. Just because we have a right to do something doesn't always make it a good idea. I love gun shops, I'm just a PO & know 63rd guys and their women will be buying that shop out for them.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Is it possible that more guns aren't a solution on the eastside or anywhere else?

    ReplyDelete
  9. Byron you are an idiot. Don't be mad cause your a felon and can't own a gun. I own several handguns, assault rifles and shotguns . I need every one of them. I have the right to have them. If you don't like living in a place that allows us to be free then move . No matter what the law says bad people will have guns. NO MATTER WHAT.

    ReplyDelete
  10. I love you guys, not a one of you has a clue as to why the founders put the second in the bill of rights. Everyday we read about another despot putting down an uprising of the people, well what if all those repressed people had the guns to fight back? That is why we are guaranteed the right to bear arms, the founders did not want a King or other dictator ruling with an iron fist.

Are you really saying that folks who live in the east part of KCMO are unable to rationally handle a firearm? Do they not have the intelligence? The morals? There seem to be plenty of churches on the east side. The education that was offered free of charge?

What is it? Why can't they have a gun shop?

    ReplyDelete
  11. Sell them for 5 bucks apiece and give out a box of rounds. The East side criminal element will decrease by half every weekend.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Anon 2:24 PM

I am not a felon. I'm legally blind. When I tell people I don't drive, they assume I've had a number of DUI's. I don't drink. People assume that that means that I'm a recovering alcoholic. I am not that, either. Don't make assumptions about me & expect to be correct. You seem to regard the handgun as a toy. It is not. It is a death bringer. Its only purpose is to kill people.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Toy? not at all, it seems though the culture on the east side supports that purpose. I make no assumptions about anyone, your opinion is that humans are unable to control themselves so the government needs to step in and correct that behaviour through punishment and denial of civil rights. Much like the republicans on abortion your opinion is right and all others are wrong, yet education never seeps into the thought process. Educate and the "problem" goes away, you never see murder rates like KC's east side in a communuity that values education. Stay out of our bedrooms and keep your hands off my guns.

    ReplyDelete
  14. The only time Progressives support gun rights is when the Obama administration sells them to drug cartels to kill our border guards.

    ReplyDelete
  15. It's clear that Byron knows what's best for everyone. All hail King Byron.

Just one question, should we ban everything that if misused can kill people or just ban the stuff you don't like and enjoy?

The Constitution is so annoying to liberals.

    Call 911 and die.

@2:24, you might also refer to the American Revolution where the colonists were better armed than the British. Thanks to the Kentucky rifle.

It really is quaint to imagine going all Red Dawn but the government has weapons which would negate what civilians can legally own.

I would rather have my old Winchester 94 when it comes to running through the hills yelling WOLVERINES! The autos are nice but they are designed for quantity not quality shots.

@Byron, your opinion of what the Constitution's Second Amendment means is trumped by the Supreme Court.

Of course the Supreme Court ruled a sawed-off shotgun was illegal because it had no military use. I guess they forgot about trench warfare in WWI where they used sawed-off shotguns (called them trench guns).

Not sure of what demographics led them to open a gun shop in that area.

Yeah, you might need a gun to shop safely there...

    ReplyDelete
  17. I need my hand guns. It isn't very easy to carry my assault rifle with my concealed carry permit! DON'T TREAD ON ME!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Hood rats don't buy their guns. they steal their guns.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Byron go cry and feel sorry for yourself somewhere else. I carry a handgun every single day . It's my job. When I'm not at my job I still carry a handgun. So far to date the handgun I carry has not I repeat has not been a death bringer as you call it. But bet your sweet ass it will do the job if needed. So don't class me and other legal responsible gun carriers under your ignorant stupid blanket. You my friend are not only legally blind but legally stupid.

    ReplyDelete
  20. If there is a way for law abiding gun owners to have more access to fire arms then I support it and you should too Tony.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Anon 4:04 PM

If you're a police officer, or something similar, of course you should carry a gun. Only a police officer can responsibly own a gun.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Byron, what planet do you live on, if the government is the only one with guns, then what is to stop another crystal night from happening? You would be first to go, the disabled, mentally ill, it has happened/is happening in this century. So praise the intelligent safe legal gun owner as you go about spouting noise that is most of the problem on the east side.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Orphan of the Road9/14/11, 5:30 PM

Sorry Byron, you are misguided on this issue.

What is it that magically makes a police officer more responsible than an ordinary citizen?

Was the police officer bred and raised to be a police officer? Or was he an ordinary citizen before he became a police officer.

A gun is a tool. Many tools can be lethal if used improperly or carelessly but it is the user, not the tool, who makes them unsafe.

I suggest all those who are anti-gun put a sign on their house - NO GUNS HERE.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Orphan,

Perhaps ... my acquaintances know that I don't allow alcohol or guns in my home.

All I know for sure is that people who don't own guns don't shoot people, & that 51% of all handgun deaths are suicides.

I still think this is irresponsible.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I bet Byron wants skil saws outlawed too. Sorry, Byron, just because you can't see and can never use a gun, handgun, AR or otherwise, is no call to want them outlawed for those of us who can.

This country may still yet need that pesky ole 2nd amendment for it's original intended purpose. Not may, does. Some days that's all that keeps the facists from doing away with the dissident and unproductive in our society. Being blind and all, that could be you, pal. Give ObieCare a few years. You can thank us toters then. Until then, keep the dickjerking to a minimum, mmmmkay?

    ReplyDelete
  26. Byron you blind fuckstick, what are you doing reading a blog? Shit.

Any guns sold by a dealer will be subject to a NICS background check of the purchaser, prior to sale. De Cryme Dawgs can't pass it, dumbass. That means only responsible citizens will be able to buy guns from them.

So WHAT exactly are we afraid of here? Thugs getting ventilated by honest citizens sick ad tired of criminals? Sounds like a win to me, the assholes are too slow at killing each other off with only illegal guns.

    ReplyDelete
  27. If this is actually a gun store, which I seriously doubt, I will eat your hat. Kansas City doesn't allow gun stores any more.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Just drove by it a little while ago...it's another, wait for it...pawn shop...natch...cause we don't have enough of those on 63rd or in the hood.

    ReplyDelete
  29. This marks a first: the first time in a long time to LEGALLY buy a handgun on the east side. For years, only criminals have bought and sold handguns in this area.

    ReplyDelete
  30. It's a gun shop where guns are used the most. Makes business sense to me. Kinda like opening a winter clothing store in Canada or a swimsuit outlet on South Padre or a do it yourself co-ed kidnapping kit in the Bahamas. Gotta go where the market is.

    ReplyDelete
  31. "Also, anyone breaking into my house will most likely leave in a body bag."

Wow, another brave Internet warrior with a big gun and a small dick.

Here's a clue for you. Anyone breaking into your house will most likely do it when you aren't there, numbnuts.

And the first thing they will look for is your precious gun, which they will most likely find in under 15 seconds.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I do hope a few of you remember the Yamamoto quote from WWII, as to why invading the US would result in finding " a gun behind every blade of grass". If not for us toters, you could well be blogging in Japanese right now.

Byron, the .410 Judge handgun would be a perfect choice for someone with sight impairment. Just let 'em get in close.

    ReplyDelete
  33. The .410 judge is a joke, a toy, and nothing more than good marketing paired with a hopelessly little common sense on part of consumers. For the money, much better pistols can be had that a. are smaller, b. offer more performance. and c. cheaper to shoot. Price 9mm or 38 special or 357 rounds compared to 410 shotshells, slugs or whatever. Compare it to 45 LC rounds.

A 410 slug is about 95 grains moving at 1200 fps. It's a joke. Non rifled, short barrel. You'd be better off with a 380 or 38 spcl +p.

    ReplyDelete
  34. FN Five-seven, with teflon bullets.

    ReplyDelete
  35. London Andrews9/15/11, 12:50 PM

The Second Amendment wasn't passed to allow hunters to have rifles.

It was passed so the citizenry could protect themselves against the government.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I regard all gun owners as potential killers & treat them accordingly. I stay away from them.

    ReplyDelete
  37. The area around the landing mall isnt the east side, east side is over by van brunt area. You do have the right to defend yourself. The issue is when people just shoot instead of trying to resolve the problem in another way.I agree if I feel threatened in my home id shot to defend myself and my family. But the homicides in this city are way out of hand, how many more kids do the moms got to bury.
