TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! KANSAS CITY CHIEFS COACH TODD HALEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF HIS "CODE OF SILENCE" APPROACH TO ALLEGED LOCKER ROOM CONFLICT!!!
Once again Chiefs Coach Todd Haley has shown us that he has no class.
When things got tough last year he refused to shake hands with a competing coach and was smacked down by just about everybody in the aftermath. This time around it's a quote about some lame alleged locker room fight that signals his incompetence.
Personally, I don't care about Chiefs or their football foibles that always seem to inevitably end in defeat. Meanwhile, most of the sports d-bags are too busy playing stat geek games to think about the big picture . . . And they wouldn't dare risk access or potential advertising.
However . . .
In a town that that suffers from a tragically high murder rate while struggling to build community cooperation, Todd Haley's endorsement of what seems to be a "code of silence" regarding allegations of locker room violence sends that worst kind of message to the people of Kansas City.
Read Coach Haley's disgusting comment in the context of local life . . .
When asked about a reported locker room fight between Baldwin and Jones that caused the injury, Haley referred to it as a “family issue” and declined to reveal any details.
Todd Haley: Reported fight 'family issue'
Interesting, stories of broken thumbs, solidarity through silence and vapid talk of "family" in order to uphold a moneymaking operation sounds like an episode of The Sopranos and not a strategy that will help win games. Is it really so hard to get professional athletes to rally around nothing more or less than winning?
Face it . . .
TODD HALEY ISN'T A LEADER, HE'S A COLLABORATOR WITH A TEAM THAT'S ALREADY SPINNING OUT OF CONTROL IN THE PRESEASON WHILE SHOWING EVERYONE THEY DON'T HAVE MUCH CLASS!!!
Yesterday we reported that The Chiefs games aren't really a good place for families . . . Now a misguided quote from Coach Haley informs us that he really doesn't have an understanding of anything remotely resembling family values.
DEVELOPING . . .
I blame the schools.
ReplyDeleteI blame Bush.
ReplyDeleteIts a part of KCMO culture
ReplyDeleteNo snitch.
The hood dont snitch.
Cops dont snitch.
Firefighters dont snitch.
It's Rush Limbaugh's fault...
ReplyDeleteNone issue. Slow news day.
ReplyDeletecoming from the king of class....TKC
ReplyDeleteIt is Haley's failure, both on the field and off. Haley is a bum who encourages his players to be stupid thugs.
ReplyDeleteThe kid needed his ass kicked and he got it good. Anyone who's played the game at a high level understands this and it's safe to assume no one in the KC media or on this blog ever has. Haley/Peoli are on the right track and true FB people know it.
ReplyDelete8:06, mark me down for a LIKE. ROFLMAO. He gotchya Tee!
ReplyDeleteHaley keeps saying "its within the family." No Todd, it is an assault and you are covering-up a crime.
ReplyDeleteIt is an assault at the workplace. Laws were broken.
ReplyDeleteHaley is an employer, the players are empoloyees.
ReplyDeleteGenerally employers are not alloweed to talk about employees personal matters, or discipline issues without setting themselves up for a lawsuit from the employee.
The assault should be referred to the prosecutor's office.
ReplyDeleteHow long, HOW LONG, is Kansas City going to just accept it's LOSER sports teams?? There hasn't been a winner here since the I-70 series and George Brett is getting kind of old. Are there no winners in KC?? I'm (and lots of others) are beginning to believe it's true that Kansas City just plain SUCKS - IN MORE WAYS THAN ONE!!
ReplyDeleteOk, you may now go get your tattoo finished, have a cigarette, a cold beer in the morning and beat your wife. LOSERS!
8:52... but no one is going to press charges. end of story.
ReplyDeleteC.K. Dexter Haven, a character in The Philadelphia Story, said it best: "[Tracy] has a horror of men who wear their hats in the house."
ReplyDeleteMen who wear hats or caps (yarmulkes excluded if you're an orthodox Jew) indoors scream, "No class."
I believe it was a rookie who thought he was a prima donna and didn't have to work out like everyone else. A team leader took offense to it and handle it the way a team leader is supposed to.
ReplyDeleteI would think that it started off with a talk and escalted from there.
Shit Happens.
This has got to be the dumbest post you have ever made about the Chiefs. Grow up.
ReplyDeleteYes, the Chiefs are horrible people ... so horrible they raise thousands of dollars for charity every year, and give your lame city national recognition ... maybe we should start midnight basketball for the players, they only start problems because they don't have anything to do.
ReplyDeleteI would let Haley where a hat inside if he would just bathe.
ReplyDeleteI like this man, Haley.
ReplyDeleteAnd you say he gets to walk around the shower room while young men soap their hard bodies?
I like this man.
Wright versus Botello
ReplyDeleteWake me up when this starts.
Tony, Seriously you have so little to think about that you let pre-season antics of the Chiefs rule your blog? Are you going to stick to a tactic of only dissing people that you're reasonably certain will not sue you now? Personally I demand more all caps red type and mushroom clouds and "EPIC FAIL" in 24pt helvetica black. well that and pictures of chicks, and Bower's photos and Radioman's and Chuck's comments. But spare me the sports stuff, that is wehat weekends are for where thankfully I have a life and am too busy to read this blahhhg.
ReplyDeleteIs Haley related to Louie Wright???
ReplyDeleteIs John Travolta doing anything these days? If not, he can reprise his Vinnie Barbarino role as Coach Haley at press conferences.........What? Where? When?
ReplyDeleteNow that is funny.
ReplyDeleteOver and over again, Haley proved completely unable to garner a college degree even after entering some of the world's smallest and worst colleges.
ReplyDeleteNow that takes one stupid man.
I think he finally bought a degree from some school with a Florida post office box.
1:42: And they want it back.
ReplyDeletei don't like haley. i think pioli made a bad pick and the guy is in over his head.
ReplyDeletethe 'patriot way' may work, but not with a bum for a head coach.
as for the fighting, i'm with 8:19 and the second 9:33. not a big deal.
Thank goodness for football, otherwise we would need more prisons.
