Wayside Waifs Kansas City Pet Adopt-A-Thon Packed With Animals Recently Rescued From Local Tornado Disaster Zones!!!

Pet lovers and folks with disposable income can spend the next few days pretending to be good people by doing something nice for animals.

To wit, this activity seems more productive and sanitary than turning the leftover critters into burrito ingredients, which is pretty much my solution to everything . . .

DON'T FORGET ABOUT THE UPCOMING WAYSIDE WAIFS PET ADOPT-A-THON!!!

Check a video promo that's making the rounds . . .

Here's a quick note from the web page with more details:

For one weekend only, Wayside Waifs is reducing our adoption fees by half to find homes for EVERY animal in our shelter! Our facility is packed with more than 300 adoptable dogs, cats, puppies and kittens, many of them rescued from the storm stricken areas of Joplin, MO, Reading, KS and Caruthersville, MO. These animals were evacuated from those tornado and flood devastated communities, and brought to Wayside Waifs for adoption. Many were surrendered by their owners who can no longer care for them, others were homeless before the storm hit and needed to be transferred to our facility to make room for animals displaced by the storms.

We will be open extended hours for Adopt-A-Thon, and 106.5 The Wolf will be broadcasting live from Wayside all weekend!

Adopt-A-Thon Hours:

Friday, June 17, 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Saturday, June 18, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Sunday, June 18, Noon to 6 p.m.

Please note Wayside Waifs will be closed Thursday, June 16, in preparation for Adopt-A-Thon.

All animals will be current on vaccinations, microchipped, spay/neutered and ready for their new homes!

Start Date: Friday, June 17, 2011
End Date: Sunday, June 19, 2011
