KANSAS CITY ELECTION WINNING

I don't worry about losers because even they stay winning in their own way.

To wit . . . Here is a list of Kansas City WINNING from the latest election dedicated to Charlie Sheen and local political denizens who also have TIGER BLOOD and ADONIS DNA:

WINNING: Northland racism is winning because they now have a talking point thanks to a Sly James margin of defeat in that part of the city that wasn't too horrible.

WINNING: Downtown Hotel stays winning. It's now an inevitability and not a proposal.

WINNING: La Raza Political Club. They're the group that most mainstream media is too afraid too mention who endorsed Sly James and stand with a Kansas City Latino population that's more than 10 percent.

WINNING: Mike Talboy, Jason Holsman, Ryan Silvey and John Rizzo will be looking for new and exciting ways to stay winning and gain the upper hand on Jason Kaner when they all get back to the Missouri (Frat) House where I imagine they all reside.

WINNING: The weak Mayor form of government.

WINNING: Citizens Association and the vast majority of their City Council picks.

WINNING: Kansas City trial lawyers who were able to write a $250 check in the past 6 months.

WINNING: Liberal white women. Why not?

WINNING: Sharon Sanders Brooks. It's now time to blame somebody else for the long running disaster in the 3rd District.

WINNING: Jan Marcason. Kansas City's next Mayor.

Most of all TKC STAYS WINNING because I really wanted to make an endorsement or a prediction in this race but I didn't and instead decided to insult almost everybody. That has "worked" for me thus far.

  1. Ah, yes. So many columns moaning about how racism kept Sly out of the mayor's office prepared but now obsolete. So many Lewis Duiguid editorials that must now be trashed. So many of Tony's blog ideas now down the tubes. What will these refugees from the 1960s do now to maintain the myth that da man be keepin' da black folk down?

  2. So here’s an interesting bit of number crunching on yesterday’s election. 70,382 voted for Mayor, which is less than half the registered number of voters. Everyone had the choice for 6 at larges as well, but the average number of voters across the metro was 60,211. In other words 10,000 people who voted for mayor chose not to cast a vote for an At-Large seat. Lowest turnout for At-Large was in the 6th where 48,645 voted or 22,000 below Mayor. Had ballots been cast for all the At-Larges, it would potentially have swung the election in two seats: 6th and 4th.
Ironically, the highest turnout for in-district came from the 6th with 13,209 casting a ballot, which presents an interesting dynamic between the apathy presented in the At-Large race versus the larg(ish) turnout of the in-district. Second highest turnout went to Jan Marcason who was unopposed.

Anyone wanna know the dollars to votes calculation? Tabulating that now based upon the latest, 8 day before election filing.

  5. The last two comments are just unnecessary and idiotic - from an idiot I'm sure. Anyway, how does talboy and frat bros stay winning? Democrats lost 20 seats in Missouri house under his "leadership" and he endorsed burke, who lost. Your views are skewed tony.

  9. I drove through the third last week and couldn't believe all of the development that has gone on there. Massive modern safe apartments that would run over 1k per month anywhere else, community centers, park pkaygrounds, 18th and Vine vibrant at night. I think Sharon Sanders Brooks did more than her part. It takes a strong personality to represent that district otherwise they will be left behind.

  10. Everyone should read Alonzo Washingtons blog today. That is pretty telling.

  11. Yall seriously gonna blame Sharon for crime in the third??????? Please. That is a joke. It takes more than a city council person to clean up all that. Now that Jermaine has promised to turn the third into overland park let's hold him to it.

  12. Word. City council people deliver development. More development has happened under Sharon sanders brooks than any councilperson in a long time. Just drive through the district. More to go but can't deny her work in the district that has always been left behind.

  13. Truth in Advertising3/23/11, 10:03 AM

Glover may be going back to City Hall but he is not a winner. Jim Glover and his campaign manager Kevin Hennosy are both liars and that is the only reason why Kansas City lost.

  14. Like him or not, Moreno has brought the city focus into the third district twice in one year. Whether it is voter fraud or Mike Fletcher's lying ass trying to run in California, Chris Moreno called it out. I commend the young brother for that.

  15. Seems like the SSB and Crawford folks are out in force today.

Get over it, your losers lost.

  16. So the Northland is racist because it voted for Burke but Jackson County is not because they voted for James. You really are ignorant Tony. No wonder you can't get a real job.

  17. wondering what sly pro mise the hispanics in order to back him.

  19. Do you think the fact that Mike Burke's wife is WHITE hurt him in the election?

  20. I thought that the comment about Jan Marcason was interesting. But, you can't win, if you don't play.
