KANSAS CITY ELECTION NIGHT PHOTOS!!!

I was out taking a lot of photos of so much election hope last night . . . By far my favorite features Mayor-Elect Sly James, Former Mayor Richard Berkley and Missouri House Rep. Jason Kander.

Mayor-Elect Sly James answers questions among the crowd.

Diana Kander and John McGurk enjoy the conclusion of a successful campaign.

Check even more election night photos at The Sly James Campaign party after the jump:

Sly Supporter Brad Brad McCormack and his mom . . . One of my favorite pics.

FREE FOOD!!! An idea worthy of a Chicken Genius.

Ed Ford, wife Sheryl and former KC Star journalist DeAnn Smith stop by the Sly James Party after a decisive win.

Chris Hernandez about to go on Live TV.

Jim Glover talks to KMBZ news legend Bill Grady.

Genaro Ruiz and School Board Member Crispin Rea pose for a TKC pic.

Here's a quick shot at New Northland Council Dude Scott Wagner . . . It's a candid but make no mistake that Wagner is probably the most polished politico soon to be on the Council.

Jan Marcason stays winning.

TKC's favorite photo alliteration: Christopher and Kyleen Carroll smiling with UMKC's Klassie Alcine.

Young Jazz man Steve Lambert plays for the crowd.

Pastor Brooks was kind enough to pose for a quick photo outside.

Political strategists Nick and Chris Moreno were inside the event working the crowd.

Council Dude Terry Riley takes a photo with a member of the Freedom Inc. Team.

Carol Coe leads the Freedom Inc. Team in this photo and into KC's political future.

Jolie Justus in the middle of the crowd.

The winning 6th District At-Large Couple: Scott Taylor and Cathy Jolly.

Finally, I didn't catch his name but he is my favorite Sly James volunteer and poses next to a stop sign to conclude this photo essay.

  1. Notice how Mayor Kay's picks lost? Burke and Crawford definitely got the kiss of death!

  2. Berkley is a class act.

I think James will be, too.

  3. Marcuson looks like an idiot trying to block a picture... doesn't she know thats' part of the job?

and the stop sign sticking out of that guy's head! Camera operator error.

Other than that your captions still don't make it clear who's the principal, like presumably "Carol Coe (center)" etc.

Your pix are better... guess you have a better digital cam, tee? All in all, great job on the photos. I enjoyed them. Good post. You did well on election night.

  4. I see a lot of e-tax supporters in the pics! Funny, a few people who post on this seem to think that it's "toast". Looks like a pretty large handful of Kansas Citians don't feel that way.

  5. Last person is the awesomest friendly friend ever!

  6. The people of Kansas City should vote for the e-tax. Why not let someone else pay for your city services.

If a person earns $60,000 his liability is $600. That's ridiculous. It isn't possible for a commuter to use $600 a year in city services.
