Port Authority Ongoing Hot Mess: Runnion Gone, John Burnett In . . .

With just a bit of bickering The Council and Mayor Funky just approved the appointment of Former MO State Rep. John Burnett to The Port Authority.

Mayor Funky said he already made the appointment, Ed Ford and John Sharp noted that the ordinance was theirs . . . I still have yet to find anybody who isn't a political insider mention this story . . . Even in passing

Trey Runnion resigns from Port Authority

Breaking: Runnion steps down from Port Authority board . . . Funny that The Star lists it as "breaking" when The Biz Journal had the story last week.

Well, excuse me. I do feel better now. John Burnett is a bad fit for the Port Authority. Poor Donny Mouton.

  7. ouch hard feelings at the Port authority. Good luck John!

  8. Burnett loves being a leprechaun in the lap of whoever is at the end of the current rainbow. First Denny Waits, now Mark Funk. Do you ever find gold digging around in those jockstraps, Johnny boy?

  9. not going to be a judge, so appoint him to the port authority.
Jez', these folkes all just change chairs. Same old faces in different places. No wonder this town goes nowhere.

  10. Don't forget Joanne Collins, the vice-chair of this group.
    Talk about retreads!

  11. 6:31 - You have THAT right about retreads - but because no one gives a shit about politics, except those persons looking to feather their own nests and egos, the song remains the same. If you want to change things, run against those you oppose and have money and a better agenda. Money talks, bullshit walks, as the cliche goes.

  12. Wow the Serrones are on it, aren't they? My bet is they're on their way to buy an 8 ball from the Palmentere brothers so they can spam Tony's blog all night.

  13. If you really want a story, how about this? The Mayor's "pay to play" appointment process, which several have heard about - donate to my campaign and I'll appoint you to a City position or board. Pretty sure that's illegal - and more worthy of an FBI investigation, don't you think? Or, why isn't anyone asking about Sandra Rayburn's true motive for having a bitch about the Richards Gebaur contract work? Could it be because she's merely pissed that her then- boyfriend, who also bid on the work, didn't get selected? She's not the saint everyone makes her out to be - her reasons are not altruistic. Come on Tony, explore these stories. . . why don't you suggest the Pitch do the same. . . and the Star . . . God forbid we have accuracy (or the full story) in news reporting.

  15. The FBI is busy investigating bloggers, it can't be bothered with this penny ante stuff.

  16. The FBI may want to have a "visit" with 7:14.
