Russ Ptacek has been vigilant in bringing the stories of the Bannister Fed Complex to Kansas City and the rest of the nation. The description of a SERIOUSLY toxic work environment made national headlines.
Still, Ptacek seems to be having fun with his job and all of this friends of FB seem to be raving over this RATHER AWESOME pic that captures just a bit of his WIN.
Russ Ptacek should get some type of award for his persistence and accuracy on the Bannister project. And he approaches all of his stories the same way.
ReplyDeleteProbably won't happen, though, because in this town the swells usually give each other awards, whether or not they've actually done anything, and Russ doesn't strike me as the kind of person who is interested in sucking up to mediocrity.
i think, but am not positive, that he won a regional emmy for his reporting on the bannister complex.

ReplyDeleteBefore a snow storm, old man winter calls Russ Ptacek to make sure he has plenty of hot chocolate and a date at his place. Then the storm begins. Russ is that cool.
ReplyDeleteThe Bachelor called Russ Ptacek to ask him if he would be on this season. He respectfully declined by laughing for five minutes. Then he took a drink and said "Sorry, I'm booked up for the next 5 years". Russ is that cool.
