It looks like Mike Sanders hangs on to his Jackson County influence and Freedom was delivered another slap to the face.
A comment from an eyewitness, "It was tense, most of the Freedom folks left."
Obviously, there are going to be a lot of hurt feelings over this as Jackson County just doesn't look as orderly as it once seemed.

A party chairmanship is a purely political role and politicians ae interested in who can deliver votes. In the last schoold board election, the turnout east of Troost was around 4%. Terry Riley LOST his last election. The curtain was pulled away from the Wizard of Freedom a long time ago.

Freedom could have had a chairman if they picked someone other than Riley. Riley ran one of the dirtiest campaigns this summer and when the KC Ethics Committee gets it act together Riley is going to have to answer questions about his copier company fiasco. He also better be looking for employment to pay for his big house and liestyle.

I for one applaud TGR for standing with Riley. Thank you Teresa! The Black community worked hard for her election and we appreciate the sacrifice. I wish more politicos remembered the most loyal group in the Democratic Party.
