Jackson County Committee Chair Race: It's Time For Theresa And Crystal To Make Some Difficult Choices!!!

A bunch of stuff happening today with the upcoming Jackson County Committee Chair election but one thing is apparent . . .

JACKSON COUNTY IS NOW AWASH IN POLITICAL FACTIONS THAT COULD ULTIMATELY THWART COUNTY EXECUTIVE MIKE SANDERS!!!

Even better, it's time for Legislators Theresa Garza Ruiz and Elect Crystal Williams to make an important decision.

Will the back Freedom or support Sanders?

As a brief aside, it's important to note that political promises before an election don't mean anything in much the same way that a great many people argue that if Latinos don't get input on redistricting before the elections all of the ensuing promises about representation mean nothing. But I digress . . .

Tonight's race is about nothing but influence peddling and their stance will be important . . . To wit . . .

WORD OUT THAT LOCAL 42 IS MAKING CALLS IN SUPPORT STEVE BOUGH!!!

Outgoing Legislator Henry Rizzo's unflinching support of 42 earned him the scorn of The Star and a great many local pundits and political watchers . . . It will be interesting to see if these same folks now take aim at County Exec. Mike Sanders.

Whatever the case . . .

THIS MINOR DEMOCRAT COMMITTEE CHAIR RACE IS GOING TO COST MIKE SANDERS A GREAT DEAL OF POLITICAL CAPITAL!!!

No matter who wins, there will be some feelings hurt on this one.

What we'll know by the end of the night:

How much influence does Sanders still hold?

Just how difficult will it be for the dynamic duo of Garza Ruiz and Crystal Williams to navigate through the myriad of political landmines that Jackson County holds.

Developing . . .

  3. Think about Theresa and Jason Whitlock having kids and what they would look like.

  4. Everyone is finally seeing Sanders as the corrupt lying double-crossing douchebag that he really is. If I were a gambler, I wouldn't put any money on greasy Mike.

  5. Fat girls make me angry as well. Such a waste of a woman.

Bough should resign this afternoon for the good of the Party.

This would allow the Party leaders to meet before tonight's fight and arrive at a compromise slate of officers.

  7. Bough and Comstock are too names that cannot appear on any compromise list.

In other words, this is all speculative unsourced bullshit that doesn't mean shit from the not-credible Tony Botello.

  9. WOW!!
I'm right on the edge of my chair!
What a bunch of total crap that has absolutely nothing to do with the residents of Jackson County.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Coach Comstock should have never been an officer.

It is time to compromise and and there is no compromise as long as Bough or Comstock are under consideration.

  11. Two terms is enough why the strangle hold

    ReplyDelete
  12. Crystal and Theresa have nothing to do with the County Committee. This tyriad of BS just demonstrates how ignorant you are when it comes to local politics and what's really going on.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Is there REAL MONEY INVOLVED? (Which I hope not because real money means a lot of corruption and officials to be bribed!!!!)

Or is it just small potatoes involving only influence and services OUTSIDE the actual Jackson County CITIES?

If this is mostly about rural areas and non-city suburbs... then why would most people CARE except those neighborhoods and farms outside the cities? That's be SOOOOO unimportant!

me, I live in a county, outside a city and I don't CARE what goes on in my county, so long as the roads are plowed at 6am, the sheriff patrols and keep crime down and doesn't beat up our kids, and the Fire Department is around when someone has difficulty breathing!

Get it? No one actually CARES who's running things, so long as fundamental services are there when we need them!

Why all this interest in Jackson County politics? One TENTH of the KC area interest, assuming there are ten counties around here!

Screw who runs the democrat or republican parties in that county.

    Not MY county. yours?

    How boring!

  14. Theresa is supporting Bough. Take it to the bank. Spoke with her myself.

Also, Bough on his own has mabe 4-5votes. The ONLY way he has a shot is if Sanders is supporting him. However, I am not sure that he has publicly said he is.

    ReplyDelete
  15. How wonder how much Bough agrees to raise for Mike to stay chair?

    ReplyDelete
  16. Right now Tony Botello is the only one doing reporting on this. I don't really like it but I think Steven Bough should win.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Bough should go for the good of the party.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Why should Steven win. Aren't two terms enough? I hope Paul Rojas, Teresa, Cripin etc. stand with Terry. He's a good man and deserves a shot after all Robin's chances diminish greatly if the Black voters of this district stay home come November.

  19. FYI, Just got this email from Sanders/Kanatzar and Sharp. Looks like they care less about who wins, but that there isn't another "chokedown" in Indy:

    "Democratic committee members,

As our Jackson County Democratic Committee reconvenes, we welcome the members of the committee and congratulate each of you on your victory on August 3. While candidates launch their fall campaigns in every city, town, and neighborhood across Jackson County, we all must work to continue to build a united and strong Democratic Party. We must recognize the value of our experienced leadership, while we benefit from the energy brought to this committee by its newest members.

Regardless of the result of tonight’s chair election, or whom you may support, we should be mindful that the eyes of our party and the community will be upon us to see how we handle this period of transition before the crucial November elections. It is imperative, therefore, that each of us conduct ourselves with the decorum and grace that we should expect from each other and our party. If we publicly stumble tonight, it will only be for the benefit of our opponents in November. Regardless of the outcome, let’s all commit to rallying around our new chair and working hard to achieve victory in November for the greater good of our community.

    Sincerely,

    Jackson County Executive Mike Sanders,

Jackson County Prosecutor Jim Kanatzar, and

    Jackson County Sherriff Mike Sharp"

  20. Hilarious. I love democat in fighting all most as much as I like GOP on Tea Partier fighting.

  21. Do you expect any "Roe-Cams" smuggled in to catch the goings on? Will the Dems invite "Camera-Killer" Bill (Skaggs) to serve as protection?
Oh wait, they'll have union folks there, no need for Bill.

  22. Thanks for reprinting the Three Stooges joint letter.

    What BS!

Why do the three amigos care? Because they want to control the committee that endorses their party candidates. That is being a big fish in a small pond (and helps in their own reelection)

Sounds like a drunk informing his family that he is about to fall off the Wagon.

That has to be the worst fucking political message since Jimmy Carter gave the Malaise Speech!

Did Scott Burnett write this one too!?!?!?

  24. Sanders and Kantazar are both great illustrations of what is WRONG in Jackson County. Sharp - well, the least wrong of the three.

Local 42 support is the KISS OF DEATH. Bye bye Bough!

Bob Stringfield must be very happy with Sanders acting the fool. A long shot candidacy is starting to make some headway in the largely Republican towns of Lee's Summit and Blue Springs..

    ReplyDelete
  27. I'm a Democrat, and I cannot wait to vote for anyone who opposes Sanders, even they are Republican. So, Stringfield, you have my vote and quite a few other Democrats who are sick of Sanders' lying and shitting all over people for his sole political gain.

  28. That girl is BIG !

  29. Why would they support Sanders? Why would anyone support Sanders?

  30. Payback said...

I hear the levotas are with Terry good payback Theresa for there support for you and Crystal.

It's a fact Theresa was with Levota's on supporting Terry Riley. Theresa you can't always trust who you think you can trust.

  32. An interesting photoshop hatchet job. Check out the sharp cuts on the left side of Garza's neck and the use of a blending tool on her upper chest and lower left breast.

Also check out the direction of her gaze seems totally wrong.
