In her latest hit piece, Crystal Williams sinks to an unbelievable depth and The Star's Yael Abouhalkah decides to forgo any fact checking.
I'll link the desperate effort but I'm not going to dignify the mudslinging other than than to note:
YAEL KNOWS THAT CRYSTAL IS OUT OF LINE AND THE NEWSIE KNOWN FOR HIS RESEARCH WON'T EVEN BOTHER TO CHECK FACTS BUT SIMPLY CUTS AND PASTES PRESSER COPY LIKE A SECOND RATE BLOGGER!!!
How do I know this? Because if Crystal's claims were even close to factual they would be on The Front Page Of The Star. Yael has put himself out on a limb for Crystal JUST LIKE HE DID WITH MAYOR FUNKY and he's selling out a great deal of his professional rep simply because of a personal vendetta with Rizzo.
But more important than all of this is Crystal claiming that she wants to match resumes.
CHECK THEIR RECORDS . . . CRYSTAL JUST DOESN'T ADD UP:
Crystal has taken down HUGE consulting fees as a lobbyist for a pretty good cause. Sadly, a great deal of her HIGH PRICED SALARY might have been better spent on actually providing healthcare.
While Crystal talks about "transparency" . . . It was Legislative Chairman Rizzo's idea to take County Meetings on the road so that all parts of the County had access to their local government.
Rizzo has worked and authored Medicare legislation and benefits for Civic workers while Crystal was just paid for going to parties and expensive lunches.
And in terms of fiscal responsibility Crystal is great at spending Mr. Peanut's money while Rizzo worked to keep property taxes down during The Great Recession AND held down raises for County Legislators.
Sadly . . .
INSTEAD OF TALKING ABOUT IDEAS OR ISSUES CRYSTAL WILLIAMS AND HER BUDDIES ARE SIMPLY NAME-CALLING AND NOT CHECKING THEIR FACTS!!!
I don't expect much more from the same folks who brought us the failed Mayor Funky Administration . . . But none of this really represents any kind of reform.

He simply stated his opinion of Crystal's mud slinging commercials, her squandared high priced salary, and, his disgust for Yeal's use of his blog/collumn as a bully pulpit. I too thought Yeal was a collumnist, not a second rate blogger. So far, I see Crystal Williams listing 0 accomplishments, only putting out mud slinging commercials, while Rizzo actually made some accomplishments.

ReplyDeleteTHis is really funny stuff. I considered Crystal for awhile and we even spoke briefly. She is not a bad person but I don't think she can be effective at The County. She has already made too many enemies. She does not have the support of labor and her team of supporters are on the margins.
ReplyDeleteIn this race Henry looks like the better candidate. While that is a disappointment to some we needed a real challenger to Henry Rizzo and not just someone that Theresa Garza and her husband conned into running.
Did Tony really just try to argue that Henry Rizzo lowered property taxes for Jackson County and kept pay raises from passing as a County Legislator??

Theresa Garza did handpick Crystal to run as her pony-girl.
ReplyDeleteCrystal had already been telling people that she was going to run for Beth Low's MO House seat when Beth was termed out.
Then Crystal got talked into running for the county by Theresa, and Beth quit a term early.
As a result of Theresa's actions, Local 42 was able to name its own candidate to replace Beth Low, and Theresa banked a huge amount of money linked to Local 42.
If we had a County Prosecutor, and no Jim Kanatzar does not qualify because you have to be a vertabrate to hold that office, he or she would investigate Theresa's campaign finances and influence peddling.
OK Radioman-7/28/10 8:39 PM here. I made one post, and, I have nothing against Yeal, Tony, Williams, or Rizzo. I'm honestly sick of these mud slinging tactics by politicos in their bids for office. And, frankly, I'm leaning towards voting for Williams-but, that doesn't mean I can't tell her I hate these tactics!
