The social media scene in Kansas City is getting increasingly crowded and only with the help of KICKASS TKC TIPSTERS are we able to navigate the complex array of connections and maybe some conflicts.
However, The war between Social Media Club KC vs. Social Media Club of Johnson County isn't quite as complex as one might think.
AWESOME TKC TIPSTERS contend that some of the prime movers behind The (recently established) SMCJOCO (that's causing this Kansas City Social Media ruckus) are from a company called the Evans Media Group. Another unnamed source notes, "they are just the definition of the negative social media guru label." To me, that means that they speak about this stuff like they're an authority despite the fact that most people who really know how to navigate effectively are still in high school.
At this point there are a lot of accusations and rumors floating around and I don't want to ascribe motives to anyone just yet. TKC TIPSTERS will keep us informed. What I can see for myself is that local marketing people and orgs don't always play nice on the Internet . . . Which makes them EXACTLY like everybody else. There are a great many people who look online and in the meatspace to find camaraderie, colleagues and establish a social network. Sadly, the sordid topic of commerce always comes into play and very much like the Internet there's always somebody who wants to put themselves at the top of the pyramid.
THE IMPORTANT THING in all Internet or social media endeavors is to be realistic about any organization and not just contribute to the glory or financial endeavors of somebody else without some form of reciprocity. I don't hold out much hope for people taking this rule to heart since so many people don't really understand it . . . And all of this awesome social media talk still doesn't get me any closer to meeting the World Cup Paraguay woman with the mobile phone boobs.
What the fuck are you talking about?
