KANSAS CITY ZOMBIE MOVIE!!!

If you haven't check out the Kansas City-based web series Dead Wait then you suck, and I'm cooler than you.

The LJ World ran a feature on the series recently.

However, an online review is much more descriptive. The creators also have a creepy looking blog.Of course their facebook fan page has a lot of action but I'm pretty sure that collects Social Security numbers in the background if the wrong button is clicked.

Written by Eric Havens and Justin Parlette, the series is an "ongoing tale of survival in a world overrun by the undead." From the outset, the main character seems to have prepared for "the wrong kind of apocalypse." The most informative review compares the venture to World War Z meets Shaun of the Dead -- Only without the star power, professional movie lighting or completely fleshed out plot, pardon the pun.

Anyhoo . . . Because the local series has yet to become a meme or a large scale phenomenon, hipsters and 30-somethings or even early 20-somethings and 19 year-olds like myself can throw around references to garner entertainment knowledge street cred. So far the episodes are pretty entertaining . . . But maybe not as much as The Worst Wedding DJ Ever.

  5. Man, the one part of this review I keep focusing on is about the lack of "professional movie lighting."

Thanks for the review. I'll try to better in season 2.
