TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! KANDER ANSWERS MISSOURI RECORD CRITICISM!!!

Here's the stich so far . . . Kansas City's State Rep. Jason Kander was called out on The Missouri Record for his nomination for an award.

Here is his response:
"The award is entitled the Major General Thurmond award, not the Senator Thurmond award. It recognizes military service, not political philosophy, and I am honored to be considered for it."
The response is direct, concise and very clear. I think Kander answers the bloggy controversy quite well and I'm hoping that he gets the award not only because I think he's doing a good job but also because his most vitriolic critics are anony online d-bags.

Thurmond was made a Major General through political pull, based on his scumbag philosophy.

That's like saying Dick Nixon was a successful poker player, who happened to be a disgraced President of the United States.

Kander shames his name by willinging associating himself with Thurmond.

I'm starting to get the TKC themes:
1) Jason Kander good
2) The Funk, bad
3) Print media, bad
4) White neighborhood activists,racists
5) Kansas City, a dump

Everything seems to be a variation on one of these themes--wow.

I wonder who Tony will support when Kander challenges Talboy for the 10th Senate District in 4 years?

I guess Tony will say that Kander is very bad then, and he will be right --- then.

Tony's very preoccupied with local KCMO politics, no matter how unumportant.

He used to actually look at other blogs for content but now, mostly, he favors his favorites.

I'm fairly critical of TKC so no surprising he'd drop dead before giving me a link. Even so, I have some fun stuff, so here's an interesting link.

Lots of other stuff on that blog TKC would CHOKE before acknowledging.

Its always about politics and backscratching, isn't it.

Jason:

The Major General, who often spoke out against "race-mixing" fathered a child out of wedlock in the commission of an extramarital affair with an African-American woman. Put aside the hypocracy. How does this behavior stand in terms of the code of military justice? How can you defend that Jason, as your statement did by drawing a line between the Senator Thurmond and the Major General Thumond? Major General Thurmond fathered a girl and then denied she existed. Is that kind of man worthy of associating your name with? Is that example the kind of man you feel should be venerated?

Let's just say, even though its is a lie, that Major General Thurmond was only a military man and not a bigot and an anti-democratic demigogue, did he live up to the code of an officer?

Yes? No?

If you choose to associate yourself with that kind of pond scum, then you should resign from public office as well as your military commission.

Your statement makes you out to be a liar Jason.

Kander is a good man and wonderful public servant. Good for Tony for realizing that.

What's the big deal again about this guy winning an award for his service? I'm trying to figure out why people are complaining. Radioman. Your blog sucks.

The most dangerous territory in the world is set between either Kander and an award.

When the awards are given out, I wonder whether Diana will wear that same "junior high dance" dress that she wore to the Torch Dinner?

Jason should wear a white hood to accept the Strom Thurmond award.

Diana will wear whatever she thinks will get her the most attention, since that is what she thrives on.

To Jason Kandar,
Soldier!
Just how needy are you, son?
This award is given in honor of a man who did not uphold the military oath to defend and protect ALL Americans. Strom Thurmond went beyond the pale to loudly declare his hatred of fellow Americans. You do a grave dishonor to your previous service by accepting this "Honor". Decline. You may not be better than Thurmond, but accepting will make you far worse.

I suppose it is only a matter of time before Diana receives the Madame Chiang Kai-Shek Prize for Devious Political Maneuvering by the Wife of a War Criminal.
