Yet Again, STL Outpaces Kansas City In The Big Money High Speed Rail Transit Game!!!

While the d-bags in Kansas City are still lamenting the fact that nobody wants light rail . . . STL is way ahead of the game when when it comes to talk of high speed rail that more productive cities are discussing.

Meanwhile, Union Station sits mostly empty as Kansas City's politicos are still embattled in petty debates among each other and this cowtown's most ardent transit advocate is Clay Chastain who lives somewhere else and thinks moving people from point A to B involves Ferris wheels.

Make no mistake, Fed money for high speed rail is a big part of the agenda for forward thinking politicos according to a great many smart TKC Readers . . . I'm convinced that the reason we don't hear more about this topic has something to do with the fact that most politically active people in Kansas City are strangely scared that the lame duck Mayor and his barefoot wife will win re-election thanks to a crowded field and bad luck . . . And nobody seems to have time to really think about the future.

Maybe our City's movers and shakers are concentrating on locking down the Gruesome Twosome's Big Jeff Roe Guided Hail Mary Pass to retain the Mayor's Chair? First things first... end the Municipal Nightmare and than back to the business of making our City better and adapting to the new age.

P.S. If the Funk is unable to raise money, he won't be able to campaign at all. Whether he thinks so or not, a candidate (especially a g-d awful one like the two of them [yeech, you think they will campaign as Co-Mayors?]) need to raise money to run. With or without money his claim to fame as a one or two person Municipal Nightmare is assured and we will most likely see the last of him as Mayor when the votes for the new Mayor are tallied. After that, he spend his time between his new Overland Park business office, the Shabby Shack and operating a hotdog stand outside of City Hall (and, being the delusional and feckless soul that he is thinking that this is where the Mayor's Office holds it's staff meetings).

  3. STL didn't have TKC pumping out big auto-business funded anti-light rail campaigns on the Web every single fucking day

  4. we don't need light rail, 'cause no one will use it (except the homeless, to sleep) because NO ONE WANTS TO COME TO KANSAS CITY.

and we here wish we could leave.

    sigh.

  5. 2:01 is correct. Either Chastain is a d-bag or ahead of his time. Sanders has an idea TKC d-bags it.

From this post TKC is for high-Speed rail? or is for high speed rail until..so point in time it becomes popular...or Darla J tells him to be against it...

  6. High speed rail is a good idea. Which Council people are working on it?
