TOMAHAWKE ANNEXATION TALK TODAY!!!
Today looks to be pretty important in terms of bad decisions by the City Council. The move to make Kansas City bigger doesn't make any sense but the write-up by The Star, strangely doesn't even name the development.
Meanwhile, a bevy of Northland folks against this move will find out how influential their voices are . . . My guess is that this could be another pointless showdown where just about EVERYONE knows that expanding Kansas City is a bad idea.

The only logical reason that comes to mind for Ed Ford to be pushing so hard on this is payoff.
There's can be no other reason because this is so preposterous that if I saw it in a movie I wouldn't believe it actually happened.
Most of Ed's constituents up north suffer through poor city services and still have no sidewalks 50 years after being annexed by K.C., yet he wants this to go through.
Mmmmmm. Wonder why.
Ed Ford, true beneficiary of more dirty politics by railroading through KCMO Annexation - check his bank account for some extra zeros! He has Beth and Cindy on board, and playing Russ Johnson for the uneducated person he chooses to be on this project. Read their own KCMO Staff Report, against annexation. Only politicians can sleep at night knowing they blindly VOTED on something they never read or researched the facts from the experts.
Russ Johnson needs BOTH his ears bent by KCMO citizens,,,,ringing his phone this week! He is key to this as his Northland territory to PROTECT. Enabling Platte City Commissioners NO VOTE to be "backdoored" is irresponsible at any level of service.
Shame on KCMO! Poor KC mis-management is everywhere, unable to service the land you do already own. Try being fiscally responsible to our Citizens, where interest is quality of life not quanity. How about focusing on JOBS for our City.....oops that takes rebuilding KC with financial stability to recruit employers here
whereby we could qualify for federal funds! MORE LAND Annexed in??? What's next,,,a land stake on Mars! What a joke, who in their right mind is VOTING for this annexation....show yourself Council Members now - Note to self....before reelection!
