Mahoney blog reports that Former City Manager Wayne Cauthen will get a $482,000 buyout.
It's not a bad chunk of change to leave this cowtown with . . . And for the foreseeable future, this Golden Parachute represents the last bit of "executive style" we'll see at City Hall given that for the moment the Northland contingent seems to be running things in a decidedly low key fashion despite the fact that the only real vision they have for this town getting their fare share of cash for services while continuing to sprawl to the furthest corner of Kansas City Proper . . . Ostensibly, to stay away from the "urban core" i.e. TKC and the rest of this town's minorities.
For being the worst city manager ever, he gets a $482,000 reward, on top of the $250K he made all of these years.
ReplyDeleteWhen are we going to insist upon, and when is the city council going to institute rational contracts and rational management practices to prevent this type of travesty inthe future?
What a screw up.
There's an election coming up remember the nine members that gave him the golden parachute: Sharp, Riley, Brooks, Curls, MARCASON (who negotiated it with FORD) - FORD, CIRCO, Jolly, Gottstein. MARCASON also crafted the Volunteer ordinance that also cost the City and we STILL have Gloria! Can we afford them? Especially MARCASON?
ReplyDeleteNow we know why Cauhen did not follow thorugh with the public meeting he had previously insisted upon. Good riddance to that vermin.
ReplyDeleteAs to the Clowncil Titans who re-hired him... they are coming up for re-election. There certainly anything good they can point to accomplshing in the last three years so let us again see how JUST PLAIN STUPID the voters are.
Throw them all out!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you City Council that renewed his contract. Hopefully we won't be renewing your contracts.
ReplyDeleteSo what will the people he HURT with his racist and biased hiring/firing practices get??? What about the two white ladies that sued the city and Cauthen because he retaliated against them? Will they get settlements that are comparable to what this dirtbag was given???
ReplyDeleteGloria costed the City $500,000 and national embarassment and she was not even a City employee. While Kay and Cauthen were rebuilding downtown and when the Sprint arena opened ya"ll were singing his praises. He could do no wrong. No he is a no good this and that. White people you need to make up you damn mind.
ReplyDeleteI never said anything good about him, even when he and Kay were spending us into debt.
ReplyDeleteI hope JAN MARCASON is ashamed of herself.
It was the amount he was legally entitled to, based on the contract that Ed Ford & Co. negotiated, no more, no less. Blame the correct people when casting the blame.
ReplyDeleteFunky started the whole thing with the advice of co-mayor Squid. Had he not took it upon himself back in 2007 the City would not be put in this situation.
ReplyDeleteHas anyone seen Ed Ford on TV lately? He's getting fatter than Dave Helling.
ReplyDeleteBlame those idot council members who extended his contract. We in City Hall knew he needed to go. Better hide that money, he will need it for the Citadel lawsuits.
ReplyDeleteFunky and Glo. F up everything.
ReplyDeleteIt's still a cheap 'good riddance'. For all the kick-backs he had to have been getting - it's a pay cut. He has this City on it's knees financially, he widened the race divide, he was secretive, vindictive and haughty - how employable do you think he is now other than with his Denver buddies whom he enrichened off the backs of metro tax payers. His departure pay is a bargain.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately none of what Wayne did was for the best interest of KC. It was for the select group around him. Chuck Eddy was near bankrupcy & got $140K cuz he carried Kay's water & Kay hired Wayne. Remember we didn't have $160K to turn on the fountains in the City of Fountains but had $140 to pay Eddy to produce NOTHING. KC is as evil as DC & is carried on the backs of the poor. It is about developments & not neighborhoods, about things & not people. I hope I can escape some day to where decency in government exhists.
ReplyDeleteWayne was a crook.ie his sweet gf, Judy Hadley, Commissioner of Revenue stold thousands of dollars on her City credit card and when word got out she was allowed to leave, no charges, no news from TV or the KC Star or Pitch (except a pitiful few words from TKC) nothing even from Kanatzer, JaCo Prosecutor. Wayne himself did it, put a political contribution for god's sake on his City credit card.
ReplyDelete10:08 do you have any idea what Ed Wolf made working for Funky? Just asking?
ReplyDeleteall i can say is remmeber which council redid his contract in spite of funk. if they would have fired wayne then it wouldnt have cost the city that much. wondering if ford gave wayne a get out of jail card free.
ReplyDeleteOld fat ass Glo. blogging again. Sit your ass down bitch.
ReplyDeleteEd Wolf made, with his City Retriement, $249,000.00 per year. I as I recall it was $129,000.00 in retirement (not bad, huh? -and remember you pay for it) nad $120,000.00 to sit on his ass in Fark Munkhowsers office and do nothing (and you paid for that. AND remember you pay each and every council member $63,000.00 a year for about 12 hours show up time per week. More than any one of them ever made before in their lift, from the manicurist on up or down, depending on your perception.
ReplyDeletewho dat nigga assface?????
