KCK Homicide Trend Lines

A great deal of violence is coming from Kansas City, Kansas as of late . . . One of the smartest TKC readers recently put things into perspective for that small burg and the overall state of murder in the metro area.
"(KCK had) 25 homicides in all of 2007, 33 in all of 2008 and 37 so far in 2009. That, combined with the "unwanted distinction" that KCMO has as virtually the only city of size in the US to have had more homicides in both 2008 and 2009 than in 2007, are going to complicate the metro's image problems as far as conventions, tourism and business."
TKC contention: "Spillover" of local violence is a lot more complicated than people think but just might be evidenced by increase homicides on the other side of The State Line.

  1. Don't be trashing KCK. Its practically utopia over there. They have NFM, the Speedway, the T-Bones, soccer. No one cares about homicides.
