TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! 810 ZONE FOR FOR SALE!!!

Hey, you don't have to be a radio douchebag like Kevin Kietzman to serve up suburban failure . . . AWESOME TKC TIPSTERS sent us a a fun E-bay link that offers a piece of one of most bland Leawood eateries on the wrong side of Dean & Deluca.
Sports Radio 810 Zone in Leawood--1% Ownership for Sale
And here's the EVEN MORE EXCLUSIVE PART . . . Checked this one out today and the restaurant is getting more negative reviews from regular patrons every day that it has become a bit of a mini-crisis among the staff . . . There's a call for a serious shift in much the same way that KK and his sense of sports-newsy-middle-class -white-guy entitlement makes so many listeners switch the station within seconds of listening to his program.
So . . . 15k for 1% isn't exactly a fair trade and I was thinking that maybe a few hours to yell at KK for all of his horrible cheerleading and fake analysis might be something worth serving up at the struggling suburban sports bar . . . For a change.

you're right about bland. that place is horrible.
It is as much a KC Hopps problem as an 810 AM problem. I think Kevin a serious douche bag as well but don't give him so much credit for the restaurant's demise.
Why the hate for KK? Seems like he does a good job to me, same as Petro and St. John. 810 is way better than 610.
But the 810 "bar" sucks. Especially the one on the Plaza.
true dat.
Wanna bet Hearne was busted for DUI after leaving the 810 Zone???
810 zone has a great ham sandwich stuffed with bologna named after KK
Tony, is there anything in KC that doesn't suck? The 810 Zone is not a high end restaurant. For what it is, a sports bar, the food is pretty damn good and consistent. I've been to both locations, many times, and on the rare occasion that something is not right it gets corrected right away. Maybe you should try it before you trash it.
They are probably selling 1% because they are either losing their liquor license and need a "clean" owner or the owners are from out of state and need a local "owner"...has to be. Happened to me when I managed a restaurant here in KC...I owned 1% because the name on the Liquor license has to be a resident and the owner was not.
If the local liquor license person is the reason, do they have to do that with their other properties, among them, two brewpubs?
So this is a $1.5 million operation? Seems a bit rich, to say the least.
I agree that KK is a serious Douche Bag, but the food at 810 is definitely a huge step above what you would expect from a sports bar. Liquor Licenses are issued per restaurant, so even if the 810 zone was having a license problem, it is unlikely that it would affect any other KC Hopps restaurant.
