Northstar Marketing's Pat Gray is a Democrat Political Juggernaut.
Gray runs all the big Democrat campaigns in Kansas City and he's definitely not somebody that a person with political aspirations would want mad at them.
Unfortunately, Beth Gottstein just might be on his bad side.
WORD IS GRAY AND GOTTSTEIN HAVE PARTED WAYS STEMMING FROM A DISPUTE FROM THE LAST ELECTION!!!
Let's just call it "irreconcilable differences" but I also hear talk of unpaid bills, (radically) differing strategies and somewhere Jeff Roe's name comes up . . . Obviously, everyone is going to disagree on the reasons for the split . . . And who knows? They could kiss and make up by the time the next election rolls around.
This is bad news for Beth because she runs high flying campaigns that spend big money . . . BUT THERE IS HOPE!!! I think Beth could go grassroots this time around and capitalize on all the goodwill she has built in KC with her brave stances on the smoking ban, Latino Civil rights, LGBT rights and 3AM liquor licenses.
TKC STILL SUPPORTS BETH BECAUSE SHE'S GOT A GREAT NEW HAIRCUT and I like the fact that she has scaled back her involvement in local politics because of her boyfriend. She's taking some vacation time right now actually.
Fun fact: The KC Democrat Fundraising circuit is in full swing and these parties are important to let friends/enemies know that a politico is still in the mix. Beth is skipping out on all of these parties and rumors that she isn't even going to run next time around are circulating.
In any event . . .

The 4th District at-large race is once again shaping up to be great fight . . . As of yet, I still support Beth . . . but with a big time political consultant gone from her camp, she's gonna need more powerful friends than TKC.
