I could care less about the Fairness Doctrine or complaints about the talk radio strangle hold on AM radio (supported mostly by penis pill adverts. Which is hilariously ironic) . . . WHAT INTERESTS ME IS THE CHRIS STIGALL IS AFRAID TO TALK TO LOCAL DEM STEVE GLORIOSO ON THE SUBJECT OF HEALTHCARE!!!
Personally, I never thought Stigall was important enough to debate and I'm pretty sure the the Personal People Meters are going to seriously shake up local radio. But Glorioso is offering to go into the house that Sam Graves built to slap Stigall around and the fact that KC's Conservative Talker is hiding behind the recent favor he has found with Lou Dobbs is telling.

ReplyDeleteTwo things really drive me nuts. Small things that cause me to be a language cop.
1. When broadcasters say OFF-TEN, prounincing the hard T. It's pronounced "Off'n." Not "Off-Ton". Scott parks says Off-ton. And he has a KU degree! That younger generation with their dumbed down educations! I'd rather he said Sul-EE-nuh Kansas instead of Sul-I-nuh Kansas than saying "Off_ton!"
2. Never say "I could care less". the phrase is, "I COULDn'T care less". Think about it for a minute. If the point is that you don't give a shit about something, then you mean to say YOU CARE SOOO LITTLE that ITS NOT POSSIBLE FOR YOU TO CARE LESS!
The correct phrase is, "I COULDN'T CARE less."
That will be fifty dollars, please.
