I thought everybody in town simply moved to Facebook and Twitter

Ramsey discusses the "state" of local blogging in Kansas City . . . Not-so-surprisingly . . . As of yet there is very little response. As for TKC, I pick my favorites and always just link what I find most interesting . . . Ramsey's right, most attempts to aggregate (anything) fall short . . . Which is why KC Google News and other local news aggregation services have mostly fallen flat . . . Bots simply aren't smart enough (and never will be) to understand the nuances of what really makes current events interesting . . . On the other hand, clones come closer.

  2. You're being too fanciful. There will never be a machine capable of doing the work of someone like Don Hewitt. RIP.
