TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! KANSAS CITY MINORITY CONTRACTORS QUESTION WBE STATUS ON CITY HALL CONTRACT!!!

Recently, there has been an uprising coming from local minority contractors on the subject of another firm they think unfairly attained WBE status. It's worth considering that this kind of thing is unprecedented but might represent a lot of doubt in City Hall authorities in the wake of repeated questions regarding H&R Block/J. E. Dunn and talks that claim those companies didn't live up to their TIF Agreements.

Take a look for yourself . . . A document forwarded to TKC reveals a serious look about a local construction company soon to get funding (Ordinance #090579) from City Hall . . . Some say under the guise of MBE that aren't up to snuff.

Check out the letter of protest from Minority & Women Coalition, Women Construction Owners and Executives, KC HACE and the Minority Contractors Association of Kansas City regarding the WBE Status and a city contract.

In both the H&R Block/J.E. Dunn case along with this new drama . . . What's clear is that the City Manager and the Human Relations Division are under siege when it comes to minority contractors and their inability to live up to the low expectation of simply doing their job.
