This isn't that important to me and I've received a note from this blog's parent company (a fierce multi-national) to tone down the self-aggrandizing talk . . . Still, when we remember "Mammygate" and one of the most significant settlements against an acting Mayor in Kansas City in modern history . . . I wonder if anyone will remember that TKC had this story, has a timestamp and had a lot of people taking notice WEEKS before ANY mainstream media outlet reported it. Friday, November 09, 2007 doesn't seem so long ago . . . But it's when writing from this blog started to lead the local discourse. And now so many other blogs have seen the power of subverting the media filter and talking directly to their constituents, friends, family and the world.
Heck, it's almost as inspiring as a Ellen Roche bikini photo gallery. Almost.
