Recall, Democracy and Propaganda

The Star reports that the case of a dude involved in a controversial Lee's Summit Recall is going to jury today.

This story really isn't that interesting me but the last remaining Mayor Funky supporters are already spamming this one . . .

So let's get the facts straight . . . This case is completely unrelated to the Funky Recall because . . .

  • Let's face it . . . The politics in Lee's Summit are nearly akin to that of the deep South . . . It's a different ball game out there where Republicans fight with each other over the way they tie their shoes.

  • People actually complained about their names being forged . . . No such thing has happened during the Funky Recall . . . In fact . . . The only news that I hear relates to a great many folks regretting that they weren't more involved.

Finally, what's more news worthy to the people of Kansas City is that . . . THERE ARE QUITE A FEW REPORTS OF INTIMIDATION COMING FROM MAYOR FUNKY'S CAMP!!! They checked lists, they made calls they went after folks involved in the recall . . . This would be troubling if the Mayor had any political capital left . . . Luckily, he doesn't . . . And it's only going to get worse. Natch.

    1. Lee's Summit may not have all the political battles like KC but they have the same problem. Developers who incur the favor of the city council get subsidies, the rest get the shaft.

    2. "Reports of intimidation"? Is that why I got a violation notice from the worthless monkeys in the codes office after I signed the recall petition? Hmmmm ... it makes you wonder.
