KC Schools Still Don't Have A Prayer

The Star: Churches to lead effort to give makeovers to five schools in KC district . . . This flirtation with breaking Church and State distinctions sounds sweet but it's actually a bit of politics at work and represents nothing more than The Black Political Elite keeping their stranglehold on a district in decline.

  1. Some of these ministersnmay mean wel, but most of them are connected to the uneducated and incompetent regime in place and in power who is simply letting Dr. Covington know from the door who is really in charge of the KCMSD. The very same crooked politicians and corrupt community leaders who are responsible for the crisis condition that KC public schools are in now and has been in for the past 30 years will not let this man do his job in peace, will resist any real changes necessary to improve public schools, will continue to divert districtfunds to their friends, family and cronies, will comtinue to run the district into the ground and run the students right to the charter and private schools in oder to obtain an adequate education.

  4. No one said anything about money going to the churches. It says VOLUNTEER. So until we hear differently I resent the implications. No one implied that the Independence volunteers were looking for money or control (which actually they had just regained from KC) Also it is this involvement from motivated blacks that we used to have in the black schools but is now missing since most have moved to the burbs or send their kids to private and charter schools. So any inspiration they can lend is needed.
