Hooray for Wild Westport!!!

Gov. Jay signed festival legislation today.

Aftermath: Does this mean that the beleaguered old school party district can now compete with P&L?

It depends.

Does Kansas City mind the occasional stabbing/shooting versus rampant racial disparity . . . (And a few stabbings and shootings outside) . . . Either way, it's nice to see that popular culture and cultural divisions in this town have been reduced to drinking destinations.

Yay for Westport and every other locally owned hard working entertainment district. They need all the help they can get now that they are stuck paying for Power and Lights revenue shortfalls.

What was it, $10 million this year and projected to be $7 million next year? Local businesses prop up the out of towners yet can’t get all the same breaks they do.

At least Westport still has some political connections.

Yea!

It's great to read that Westport will get a break. I can't stand the plastic, frat-boy atmosphere of the P&L.

Chronic,

That usually means you're not welcome. That's kind of the point.
