Actually some great filmmakers start out gaining exposure through independent film festivals such as this. Open your mind.
Are you saying that there are no good filmmakers in Kansas City, or that you cannot produce a good short film in 48 hours? I think the idea is to challenge creative artists to see what they can accomplish in just 48 hours.
Support local artists.
