Do I think Cordish is racist: Yes.
Do I think the murder rate on the Eastside and the troubles of the KC School District are the most important thing facing Kansas City Proper right now: Hell Yes!!!
Did I vote for Alvin Brooks: Well, I supported him but when it came down to it I voted for Kathryn Shields twice. Sorry.
Do I think DJ Jazzy Jeff is important in the discussion of Downtown Racism: NO.
That's where I stand . . . What I won't support is when discussions about racism turn really ugly and start focusing on other minority groups.

A RECENT E-MAIL IS CIRCULATING AMONG KANSAS CITY'S AFRICAN-AMERICAN LEADERSHIP ON THE TOPIC OF THE DJ JAZZY JEFF CONTROVERSY THAT CONTAINS A HOSTILE ANTI-SEMITIC MESSAGE!!!

For the record I was invited to the meeting by the protesters and without their knowledge brooks invited battle. It was good information shared and what would be the most effective way to handle the situation. I don't think picketing is because Cordish doesn't care they would welcome the free advertisement. Second what is the platform because some of the clubs do play hip hop and the crowd was majority white so a racism claim would be shaky. They did lie but is that enough to spark this much interest. Lastly Cordish like all jews they look at money not black or white.Now I know who sent this e-mail and it contains more than a dozen addresses of prominent African-American leaders so there's no question that A LOT of people know I'm not just making this up.

It kind of pisses me off because I was under the assumption that fighting discrimination and divisive sentiment with hate was totally unproductive . . . Or at least that's what I keep hearing when I talk to people and they condemn this dumbass blog for joking the news and bikini photos which are cheeky and awesome and not hate-filled at all.
Anyhoo . . . So many discussions involving diversity take this tone and it's ultimately what keeps any progress from happening . . . Maybe.
I'm gonna make a few calls on this and report back . . .

I agree it's not like Eric went Khalid Muhammad on Cordish in that email. He said that Jews are more concerned with making money moreso than they're concerned about race which is why they want more whites down there than blacks because according to Eric, whites spend more money at clubs and bars.

Collectivism as an ideology is inherently flawed but demonizing an "enemy" group is a convenient way for leaders to amass power in any particular community.

I just wonder why that is always so important? Henry Rizzo is a convicted felon and more than likely half of you who won't use your real name many have some issues also. More than likely we have all thought that maybe he was just candidate enough to say it. If in fact it was him who said it. In fact you can cut and paste and alter a document and put anything at the top of it and send it out. You have a blog her where the word nigger is used quite frequently and someone said Jews are cheap but no one called that an anti-semitic remark but you did not delete that remark or make the writer's name public and you know who registers for this blog.
