Mike Hendricks of The Kansas City Star and his latest abortion of a column!!!

Kansas City Star columnist Mike Hendricks has found his niche stealing blog content and defending dead abortionists. Make no mistake . . . He is a big part of the reason the Kansas City Star is dying.

It's not just corporate ownership and nonsense about debt loads.

It's not because their readers are dying from old age.

And please don't blame the Internet.

Nope, Mike Hendricks is the reason that The Star won't be able to keep half of the employees they have now over the next 5 years.

His latest column lifts week old "news" from The Pitch that included a nice detail but didn't really impact anybody but political watchers with an axe to grind on the subject of abortion.

For the purposes of meeting a deadline and discussing the dead guy that earned him a bit of fame, Hendricks rehashes the story and "reports" on blog comments.

Please, let's stop talking about standards in journalism since it's all pretty much a sideshow that's slipping out of the control of white guys from Johnson County.

Countdown till Hendricks shows up and writes something nasty in the comments or corrects one of my typos . . .

  1. I don't agree with most of what you have to say, but Hendricks is a hack.

  3. Hendricks is the reason I cancelled my star subscription. His rant on Tiller's killer was the final straw. If it hadn't been, the stupid columns about the DJ Jazzy Jeff fiasco would have made me cancel it.

  4. The Falling Star is going out of business because of left-wing liberals like steve penn.. and that idiot Louis DoGood(less)

  7. Well, I think you are right that the Star is alienating it's suburban readership because the editorial sections are irritatingly unbalanced to the left, somewhat elitist and condescending in their liberal views, and they are too scared to sign a signature as to who is the primary writer on any of their (poorly reasoned) editorials. I am not opposed to well reasoned liberal arguments and enjoy the NYT, but the Star is mostly BS liberal venting.

  8. They probably dont mind going out of business in the next few years, if they can get just a few more articles out to push the agenda THEY think is important -just before their sinking ship disappears beyond..forever.
