"Kander Called Up"

KMBC's Micheal Mahoney is now reporting on tweets. The world has changed:
Just days after completing his first session in the Missouri House and unpacking his bags, Kansas City St. Rep. Jason Kander is packing again.

On his Twitter account, Kander says he’s being called to Ft. Meade for three weeks of training. On the site he adds, “Perspective: Could have been worse (Iraq/Afghanistan)”

You know what that means Tony, a lonely Ms. Kander. She isn't to bright, but she is a hot little potato. Just your type, I would be all over that if I were you.

Tony always talks big shit about blondes. Diana is cute but definitely not like the busty babes on TKC.

Buy the way, there's not enough boobage in this round of posting sir.

Do better next time.

Kander issues a tweet or even a press release if he takes a decent dump. I'm already tired of hearing him talk about himself.

Called up? Nice play on words Kander. I would bet money that Kander was NOT "called up". One weekend a month and a few weeks a year, is required for all reservist to fulfill their enlistment obligations. Once AGAIN, Kander is putting a SPIN on something to self promote his SLIMY self.

Is this really just his regularly scheduled reserve duty?

True dat.

"Army calls up and says 'pack your bags'". Says Kander.

Even though it's his regularly scheduled yearly reservist training, that would happen regardless of what is happening in the world.

This is what we talk about when we say Kander is a manipulative opportunist that is intentionally overselling his military background.

wait a minute,

"could be worse iraq/afg"?

This is over the top. It's regular reservist training, and he is trying to tell us he was called for service spontaneously by some national-emergency call to service, which just as easily could have been to Iraq or Afghanistan?

What a scumbag.

8:30 +1

He is incredibly self serving, you can tell that after meeting him once.

I met him once and don't care to do so again.

He didn't issue a press release.

He just said on twitter that the Army called him and told him to come for training.

His twitter today says:
"Media saw my twitter and reporting me 'called up.' Not sure 3 wks in South Dakota warrants the term, but I appreciate everyone's concern."

I wonder where the news got the idea that he was "called up." Wait. That's exactly the term Kander used. Hate how the facts get in the way of a good story.

BTW, he still needs a suit that fits.

The anonymous coward who comments here about Kander is hilarious. He could save the commenter's mother from a burning building and they would probably run home and write that Diana set the fire to further Jason's career.

If Kander is really getting "called up" does anyone want to start a betting pool on how long before he gets fragged by his own men?

11:58 If you knew Diana you would believe that she might do that to further his career.

What the hell is the purpose of political twittering anyway? Do we really care about the play by play, or are we just seeing another way for the politicos to justify their existence?

If you really want to impress me write a blog discussing in detail the concerns and proposals of every single lobbyist who walks through your door. Then create a matrix that links up every dollar that was given to you with the cause that was lobbied for in its name.

Twitter my ass.

Before Jason goes off to train new recruits he might need a little RE-TRAINING HIMSELF, considering Obama has OUTLAWED TORTURE.

Why won't Jason come clean on what he did in Afghanistan?

I figure he's screwed either way. Either he had a desk job twirling pencils or he picked out the people to be tortured - in Afghanistan or sent abroad to the secret detention centers in other countries.

Either way he's a coward.

I can't wait to see him in the Afghanistan pics that the federal courts will order Obama to release.

Then he will "frame" issue on why he has a garden hose stuck up a 14 year old's ass forcing him to "admit" he is a terrorist.

I dunno. I met the Kanders once, and they were very laid back and nice. Totally bought rounds of drinks, didn't only talk about themselves (actually, not at all). Not sure why all the hate towards them, but whatevs.
As for the tweet, at least it was more substantial than letting us know what he had for lunch, or what he's planning to watch on TV tonight -- you know, like most people do, on the twitterzzzzzzz.

They did not talk at all because they are totally self-absorbed. They lie and they cheat.

"called up"?
Sure, Jason.

Try not to break your arm patting yourself on the back for showing up to your contracted for duty.

And what's with this act that you weren't the one that released a Tweet that indicated that you are being "called up"?

Get control over your image. Good leaders know that honesty is the best way to go, even if you have to admit that you aren't a war hero, and they take responsibility for incorrect statements made on their behalf.

Overstating your participation in a war effort is not only a lie, it is a slap in the face to those who are actually doing all of the heavy lifting and actually making the tough decisions abroad. Mr. Kander, you would be best served to get a grip on your ego and the ambitions of your wife and quit overcompensating for your combined lack of life experience.

To be fair, he didn't use the term "called up" but "Army called and says pack your bags"

Seems pretty deceptive to me, as if he wasn't already expecting to go.

Jason Kander represents the very worst in politics.

"Army called and said pack your bags" when it really was a prescheduled reserve training.

What an asshole.

Yeah, what's with the anti-Kander crowd. I posted above that I thought this twitter drama was fucking lamo, but I got no beef with the guy. Other than his crapo suits.

But who is the nut jobs obsessed with him and his time overseas? Get a hobby.

Why will Jason not provide his records with regard to what he did in Afghanistan. Fake or Felon?

As far as his wife sleeping around with women when he was overseas, well she is a scumbag.
