My favorite story in the metro area today involves a clumsy, panicky pothead making an unexpected deposit at a Shawnee bank.
Shortly before 6 p.m. Tuesday, police said, the man walked up to a teller at the Country Club Bank to cash a check.The guy is later identified by surveillance tape and while they say that they have yet to file charges against the dude . . . I'm pretty sure there is some kind of award for this situation from High Times magazine. At the very least, it's interesting to note a pot head with enough cash to use a bank . . . A JoCo phenomenon to be sure.
As he reached into his pocket, a baggie containing pot and rolling papers fell to the ground, police said. The man then left without picking up the items.
