Overland Park Asian

An informative discussion of Chinese and Japanese food in the suburbs at KC Lunch Spots reminds me of the stereotypical and horrible fact that Asian women with valley girl accents are probably the best thing about life in the United States.

I know, I know . . . Constantly mentioning someone's ethnicity in relation to the cuisine of their country of origin is typically a mistake that rude people make but then again for some some reason a Latina friend of mine with a Masters Degree from The Bloch School is always asked, "Do you make tamales?" by well intentioned older white ladies . . . So until that crap ends I'm participating in the interracial-love-food-fest as if every day was the Ethnic Enrichment Festival and I'll be asking every other white person I meet about the best way to prepare Macaroni and Cheese.

  3. You start with a roux and make a cheese gravy to pour over the noodles. then bake that bitch and as noted above, let the edges get a bit crispy.

    PS I love tamales!

  4. So yes, every white person DOES have a recipe for mac and cheese.
