Police Chief Sam Breshears informed Wyandotte County's Unified Board of Commissioners that there has been a 24.3 percent decrease in crime. However homicides in the city increased to 33, up from 25 in 2007. The news is supposed to be encouraging and all thing considered any progress is good and it's nice to hear the Chief is working with the community and basically has community activists Alonzo Washington on Speed Dial.
