It's official . . . MARK FUNKHOUSER IS THE WORST MAYOR IN KANSAS CITY HISTORY!!!
HE'S SUING KANSAS CITY OVER THE VOLUNTEER ORDINANCE JUST AS TKC TIPSTERS TOLD US EARLIER!!!
I'm not gonna brag on this one, I just want to give TKC Tipsters the credit that they're due by calling this one way before big media.
More importantly . . . I guess this is good news for me . . . I couldn't make this crap up if I tried and Mayor Funky is literally his own worst enemy.
I've already had more than a half a dozen people e-mail me about a recall. I'm down to help!!! Why? It's about more than his wife, it's his record of lies and incompetence but . . . Damn. Just, damn.
He might literally be the most stubborn man in all of Kansas City.
What a dissappointment . . . People really believed in the guy and I'm kinda sad because confirmation of this move means that he has literally kissed away his political career in this town and now I'll have to come up with something else to write about given that he is so completely marginalized that I'm pretty sure any anonny commenter could beat him in an election.
Speak on it . . .
First
ReplyDeleteI'm not sad, I'm pissed off. This douche doesn't get it, it isn't about HIM. It is about the fact that he is the Mayor and is embarassing this city on a national stage.
ReplyDeleteAny word on who is paying for his attorneys fees?
ReplyDeleteOuch.
ReplyDeleteHe waited until after the light rail election to sue the city. TKC gave the heads up on this days ago. Way to go Tony. This mayor will have a hell of a time now. I don't recall Mayor Berekley's wife around city hall? Cleavers wife had a her own work. Mayor Barnes---well she didn't have a wife.
ReplyDeleteAny rate this is all new to us Kansas Citians. What a city. Don't worry about passing any transit plan now. I suggest to council you deal only with the sewers, where you have considerable life experience.
This guy is NUTS... we need to recall his ass.. I hope that we (the tax payers) are not paying his attoney fee if so I want to sue him ...
ReplyDeleteThis guy is NUTS... we need to recall his ass.. I hope that we (the tax payers) are not paying his attoney fee if so I want to sue him ...
ReplyDeleteThis guy sucks, get him out of there.
ReplyDeleteLets this settle in and the actual filing of the suite. He can have his day in circuit court. We will handle this in the court of public opinion. The mayor can not serve out his term effectively given how he has handled the first 18 months.
ReplyDeleteThe man and his wife have issues that are beyond political. I suggest we are talking clinical. Whether he wins or not with either court action, the wife's envolvement in managing his office is beyond the pale. His retreat to the house in the Brookside is childish. His working relationship with council is absurd. Can you see the national press handling this. HubHubHub, KC mayor sues in own city. Mayor mocks his voters and city has hicks and a cowtown.
All this from a guy from West Virginia. Hell he is likely his own first cousin.
Justic requires us to give this man and his beloved wife Gloria their day in court. My fellow Kansas Citians have you no respect for the legal processes that have made this country great? If a mayor can not assert his right to be top dog, what will happen to consitutional processes?
ReplyDeleteI respect this man for promoting a modern train on Main Street. He has vision. His wife has rights too. I say suite the city mayor. Sue the council. And back another light rail election by February. Fight Fight Fight. Sue Sue Sue.
Stand up; sit down; genuflect and fight.
Mayor Barnes---well she didn't have a wife.
ReplyDeleteBwahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
How do we start the recall? Let me know ezasabc482@aol.com
ReplyDeleteI'll repeat it. Can we just impeach Gloria?
ReplyDeleteYou have come up aces again... you have silenced them all with this call. Even Bill No One's Friend From The Crossroads Drummond who by the way has been mysteriously silent for a while. After this, don't let anyone ever call you crazy :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your lunch tomorrow with your funny new friend.
He might literally be the most stubborn man in all of Kansas City.
ReplyDelete-----------------------------------
He's not stubborn... what he is is JUST PLAIN STUPID. And he's a beaten down and otherwise publicly nutted bully going through his last dying gasps... he came in as Funk the Powerful and he will go out Who was that guy, someone give him a quarter for a cup of coffee.
Just fucking wrong Funkhouser.
ReplyDeleteGET BACK TO WORK FUNK.
SILENCE YOUR CRITICS.
SHOW UP TO THE OFFICE.
DO THE JOB WE TOLD YOU TO.
All caps make things seem important.
ReplyDeleteStop swagger jacking TKC.
Beatch.
"He laid out the story to the invited reporters providing they not release the story until 9 a.m. Friday when the suit is filed. It's believed that Funkhouser timed the event to coincide with a brief trip out of town, so it would not be available to other reporters."
ReplyDeleteWhat a douche....
Way to go Funk!
ReplyDeleteGood catching these bozos off guard.
rag on JOCO all you want, but at least we don't have funkhouser or his wife to deal with.
ReplyDeleteeven tho' i don't live in KC proper, the man truly IS an embarassment that stains the entire region, and if i DID live there, i'd be all over that recall.
Good job, Tony.
ReplyDeleteYou better just be really careful Tony! You are really in a lot of trouble!
ReplyDeleteOK, he has been marginalized to the point of being inconsequential.
ReplyDeleteForget a recall, why waste the money and allow more smoke to coverup the ineptness of City Council and Wayne Cauthen?
The national media has the city council and the school board along with the mayor for a trifecta of ineptness.
lAs for JOCO bragging about not having The Funk, well we have Phill Kline and the wingnutz. So CupCake Land and all its beigeness is pretty whacked too.
The Funk summoned the reporters to his home???? Why did they go? A bunch of whores trailing after a piece of slime... a pleasant picture and a positive image of kansas City Government for all to see.
ReplyDeleteGet him out.
ReplyDeleteLazlo, that's veddy cute:
ReplyDelete"The train on Main runs mainly on the plain."
NOT!!!!!
We took care of that last Tuesday, didn't we....56-44!!
We thought you had buried your head in shame after the light rail spanking. Hell, maybe you LIKE to be spanked...some people do.
Now, we can watch the Funk-a-dunk self destruct right before our very eyes.
Clap. Clap. Clap.
Yell, Yell, Yell.
Sis-boom-bah!!
I'm telling you, you need to go back and check his audit work. I think you would find some very interesting things.
ReplyDeleteAn adult male living in moms basement is the same concept
ReplyDeleteso who is the FIRST LADY
ReplyDeletewhere is the fuckhead Bill Drummond in all this?
ReplyDeleteMaking pedestrian glass "etchings" in his tawdry Crossroads shop?
Contemplating what tragically hip outfit he will wear on his daily sojourn to 5 W 57th to suck the feet of gloria Squitiro?
All of the above would be my guess.
C'mon Bill, speak up! We miss your inane ramblings about nothinghouser.
Perhaps the next time Shit-for-brains-houser has a staff meeting at his rambling Brookside hovel we should schedule a loud, raucous march along his street to show our feelings about the debacle that is Funk. I'm sure his neighbors would appreciate that.
ReplyDeleteAnd by the way, the media did not hold off on reporting the story until 9 a.m. It was announced on KMBC's 10 p.m. news last night.
LOL
ReplyDeleteRecall? WHAT are you talking about?
ReplyDeleteFunkhouser says he plans to run again!
Funk is full of so much crap, he has to be a member of some cult or wacked out Religion.
ReplyDeleteHe should just, divorce his wife. I think the correct headline should be "Mayor Funkhouser sues the people of Kansas City."
Has he no shame?
ReplyDeleteInformation request to readership.
ReplyDeleteI would like to make a list of the civic and community affairs that Gloria Squitiro has been active in over the years. Reason is the Funkhouser legal action claims the following:
"...She is also the Mayor's wife. Long active in civic and community affairs. Ms Squitiro has at times material to this Petition served as her husband's closest political/personal advisor and assistant. As with couples in all walks of life, her presence at her husband's side has assisted (in ways too numerous to exhaust) the important work that he performs."
I can recall no mention of her before he was elected.
She has never been a volunteer on the neighborhood level. NEVER! She was thrown out of St. Luke's hospital when she interfered with a doctor's access to a maternity patient. Did she consider that as volunteering? She was abhorred at the Southwest Charter school by the principal and staff. Seems she had a hard time getting her kids to attend school... she wanted the school to do things her way. Sound familiar?
ReplyDeleteI think this lawsuit is a fine idea having Tara the Tart involved. We get to ask about her sexual experiences at the hillbilly hangout in the Ozarks. The pup tent, candles, incense and her first sexual encounter set up by squit? This is a good, smart move by the dumpy wife and dumb mayor... Far too many people have heard this story from the wife's mouth for them to deny it!
Huh?
ReplyDeleteMs. Squitiro wanted Tara's first time to be "special" Uhh, thanks MOM?
ReplyDeleteew.
ReplyDeleteQuick! Brain bleach!
ReplyDeleteMr. Mayor:
ReplyDeleteLet me see if I have this correctly framed. You and your wife have filed a law suite against the council. Is it true that your suite claims you have been denied certain right among which are your first amendment rights? Is that part of your legal action against the council?
Following up on that legal issue, you think you are not abridging the first amendment rights of the press and media when you selectively by invitation only hold a press confirance? Is it true as reported on Channel 9 news that you excluded them from a press confirance?
Mr. Mayor, Finally let me ask this parting question. How do you rationalize your right to the first amendment, and exclude the press from the exercise of their rights?
Sincerely,
John Q. Public
I'll be renting out the law suite for a few nights.
ReplyDeleteI hear it's quite lovely.
LOLZ.
Let me tell, her first time wasnt special for me. She just laid there and cried. And said, "daddy, stop."
ReplyDeleteSausages!?!
ReplyDeleteFUCK THE FUNK!
ReplyDeleteRECALL THIS LAME DUCK JACKASS....
Not advocating this, just posting b/c I was curious & thought I'd share...
ReplyDeleteKCMO Charter Article 7
Division 3
Section 720 et seq.
It only takes one voter to file an affidavit for recall, but within 30 days a petition signed by 12,318 registered voters must be submitted in order to put the recall on the next ballot.
That # is 20% of the 63,086 votes cast in the last mayoral election, but the page whence that info comes also shows Alvin Brooks as the winner.
I FART in your general direction!!!!!!
