Off the record and under their breath, politicos in Democrat controlled Kansas City are crying foul over the recent ACORN crackdown.
Personally, I didn't think any of the controversey was that big of a deal and really seemed to me like just another political distraction like Sarah Palin bikini pics or Joe Biden's botox.
But at least three local politicos got in touch with TKC yesterday (sessy) in order to express a lot of dissatisfaction with the ACRON controversey.
The most insightful and well informed TKC TIPSTER points out a theory that deserves a bit of credence. He says,
"It's no coincidence that now that Missouri is tight and could go for Obama. These allegations are getting more play."
More to the point, more than one Kansas City politico contends (off the record):
THE ALLEGATIONS AGAINST ACORN WERE TIMED TO DISCREDIT OBAMA'S KANSAS CITY APPEARANCE!!!
That's a bold statement but, to me, it reflects a real indication of how seriously people are taking this ACORN controversy . . . If roustabout registration workers signing up Micky Mouse would have understood the gravity of the situation.
Nevertheless, Republican attacks on the subject seem just as ridiculous in spreading the fear the Micky Mouse is acutally going to show up to vote.
All of things ACORN is doing is still illegal. No matter what the motivation, it's illegal and should be investigated. I can't figure out why some people don't understand that we shouldn't be breaking the law

ReplyDeleteACORN is required by law to submit every application for registration that it receives from the underemployed pond scum like Tony, which it hires to go door to door and take voter registration applications. The problem is not with ACORN or taking voter registration applications from people. The problem rests with people like Tony who get a little giddy when they leave Mom's Basement and think they can game the system, which means the submit false voter registration applications to ACORN and convert themselves into felons.
Here are some facts for you to consider if you have a brain in your head with which to consider it Mr. Rock.
When the Tony-like hose bags who work for ACORN bring in a batch of applications ACORN double checks them by calling back the applicant. By doing this they make sure that the application is for a real person and accurate. Through this follow up phone call ACORN personnel and verify and / or correct the information on the card.
If one of the Tony-like clowns submits a Micky Mouse or Jimmy John application, ACORN flags it and passes it along to the board of elections as REQUIRED by law. ACORN is required to submit EVERY application that they receive, not just the ones that they think are accurate and honorable.
The law makes that a requirement so that groups taking applications cannot pick and choose among the applications that they submit.
Yes, there are times when the people that ACORN hires, who generally live in their mother's basement or in Dorm rooms, do something stupid, and in the past ACORN has provided information that has led to the conviction of these Tony-like losers who seem destined to earn at least one felony count in their lives.
Now I realize that these facts are difficult to process for Ditto-head morons unleashed on the world by Rush Limbaugh and other forces of evil, still facts are facts regardless of your desire to muddy the waters.
Rock you are a moron. You are probably Dick Cheney blogging from your bunker and seeing it all slipping away. People are being registered to vote at such a rate that you might not be able to steal this one. You had better get the Pardon Papers to W as soon as possible and sharpen the Village Idiot of Crawford's crayon.
