A Hereford Steak House in Kansas City was destroyed by an overnight fire early Monday morning. Fire investigators said a bomb may be partially to blame.A downtown fire isn't out of the ordinary and even the upswing in Downtown violence could be expected but when Kansas City starts looking like Tel-Aviv . . . Things are obviously getting rough.

ReplyDeletei wouldn't wish this on anyone or any business, but maybe they'll finally stop running those stupid, cheesy commercials. i can still see that dumbass saying, "WOW... lunch at the hereford house...", like the poor schlub spent his entire career eating PB&J at his desk. maybe they can recut it so that his boss says,"Well John, like the hereford house, we think you're 'blast' as well."

The fire was caused by friction between the mortgage and the insurance policy...

ReplyDeleteoverpriced and poor service... yup, thats why we don't go there. you can get a better steak at a dinner house franchise. I recommend Longhorns and Lone Star for great steak. Outback if you're not a little bit country.
ReplyDeletePotpie in Westport has a steak entrée every night, usually top sirloin or a KC strip. 12 to 16oz and always around $19. Better than any steak I've ever had at the HH, and dollar for dollar, probably the best in town. And the service is AWESOME.
ReplyDeletei haven't been to the hereford house for dinner in years, and the last time i WAS there, was the location in leawood. no big deal really.
ReplyDeleteagree that the Outback has great filet mignon. they buy locally from The Kansas City Steak Co.. As good if not even better than what i've had at Plaza III.
