SustainLane ranked the 50 most populous cities in 16 categories of urban sustainability. Kansas City came in at the 20th spot. KC won first place for best tap water and seventh for energy and climate policy. But it ranked 47th for planning and land use, 40th for commuting and 31st for innovation.
In other news, Kansas City also performed rather well in a study that TKC just made up which also included a bunch of loose interpretations of data other people collected and then crafted together by me in order to prove a political point. Final result: In a TKC "study" of the top 50 cities to live in should a "Zombie Apocalypse" ever come to pass . . . This town ranked number 19. Lots of hiding spaces and the sprawl helped with warning time, yet a lack of effective leadership dropped KC's rating.
