Kansas City blogs agree the Chiefs suck

If the Chiefs aren't going to make an effort to play halfway decent, I'm not even sure I should make the effort to write about them.

Luckily, a bunch of Kansas City blogs have already weighed in on the carnage and pathetic performance of the team over the weekend i.e. 12th straight loss.

Here is the best of what I've read so far:

  • A brave blogger commitment from RDM: "There will be no further posts from this system until KC wins a football game."

  • Nick Sloan: Chiefs Fans Should Root For 0-16

  • Ancillary Adams: "I hope today marks the nadir of Kansas City professional sports."

  • A fantastic missive regarding "crony capitalism" from Kansas Watch: "And How Did We Get To This Lowly State? Soap Poisoning? No, Carl Peterson"

All of these bloggers provide content much better than commentary that the mainstream media is offering because they aren't on the payroll of big media conglomerates who are dependent on corporate advertising and access . . . Even better, they don't have to beg for press passes.

Put simply, I've noticed that it's difficult for big media to capture the angst of the average fan given that they're so dependent on the organization in order to provide content . . . It's a situation that marks ever aspect of major media production and it taints the coverage on every level . . . Strangely, when it comes to sports I think people actually deserve a bit of honesty and candor in coverage that should note the mediocre, mismanaged and mostly hopeless state of Kansas City's football team.

    1. There is no other team in the NFL that would keep their coach or GM if they lost 12 straight. King Carl's 5 year plan must now be to see if the Chiefs can go 0-16. I will bet there will NOT be a sellout this Sunday.

    2. Let's use the corporate analogy. A company hasn't made a profit in 20 years. So what does the board do? Rebuilds with the same management team. Doubtful. Mr. Hunt, with all due respect, grow a pair and fire a pair.

    3. Trade Tony G. for Brady Quinn, who is sitting on the Bench in Cleveland?
Trade LJ for a 1st Round draft pick. You have gone 0-12 with these two so far. And are likely to go 1-15 this year with them, trade them and get something in return.

Chiefs are biting the big one this season

    4. Tough times ahead for KC's Jocksniffing community.

    5. Well lets see, its only 34-0 now. But gee, Tony got his 3 yds so lets celebrate.
Everybody wear a bag next week.
