One more look at the race for Missouri State Representative in the 44th House District

So, kickass sources are telling TKC that the race in the 44th District is going to be closer than anyone previously thought . . . Previously, I heard that Jason Kander had it all but locked up.

Many folks are likening it to the Justus/Klumb race of the last election cycle where the female came from behind (YEAH!) to defeat her heavily favored opponent.

Here's a few reasons that Coffman is allegedly keeping this race closer than so many have speculated:

  • Endorsements - During the final stretch (ew) folks have come out of the woodwork to voice their approval of Coffman. Sure, nobody knows what the CCP really means and their half hearted endorsement is confusing. However, notable local politicos like Kiki Curls, Theresa Garza Ruiz, Beth Gottstein and Jonas Hughes have all expressed some strong support for Coffman in the final week before the primary.

  • Believe it or not, the endorsement of Kander on Jeff Roe's political blog The Source took a lot of people by surprise and swayed a lot opinion toward Coffman. It was literally the kiss of death from the Republican that local Dems despise.

  • Rumors of negative campaigning - I'll have to take the word of TKC tipsters on this one because I don't read those dumbass mailers (since so many of them want to deport my Grandma and I) . . . But word is that a lot of hit pieces directed at Coffman have once again pushed people in the opposite direction. Yes, she was a lobbyist FOR THE AARP which is a bit different than taking money from Big Tobacco or Big Pharma.

Anyhoo . . . Among people who know far better than TKC . . . I hear this race is still too close to call and it just might be a photo finish.

Speaking of close . . . I just finished looking at recent bikini photos of Cindy Crawford which renewed my faith in older white women. Check it.

    1. She DID take money from big pharma and from payday lending lobbyist and voucher lobbyists. The only people who think this is close are paid staff of the coffman campaign.

    3. I guess will have to wait and see. I'm not voting for Kander because Jeff Roe backed him plain and simple. Too close for comfort in my opinion.

    11. Tony Good Job! Amy worked for AARP...hmmmm last time I checked not a lobby to vilify. The Kanders love to play dirty and smile while stabbing you in the back or have someone else do it for them. Jason is a total phoney and a liar. I know him personally and his wife too but I don't work for the opponents campaign. He is like Jason Klumb besides the same initials he is a political climber who will stop at nothing if given office to promote himself. He wants to go to Washington via any means. I say to the voters just say no and let him move somewhere else and pull the wool over someone elses eyes. Mark my word if he doesn't get in office this time he will move or try in another district.
